Stopped working

I had bought my first Nespresso back in December and was so excited, it broke down three months in. Contacted customer care, they were supper helpful and sent me out a new one. The only problem is now that one stopped working overall as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible

Machine worked fine for a couple of months. Broke down and refuses to brew coffee. Wasted so many pods trying to figure out what was wrong. Mind you there is only one button so how difficult can it be. It doesnt matter how many times you reset or (deep) clean the machine.
We had the machine replaced for a new one a week ago and had the same problem instantly. 0/10 would not recommend this machine at all.
I am a loyal Nespresso customer but this machine is not it. Buy a different model

Big Mistake!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Nespresso-Vertuo and was totally disappointed. The machine is very and awkward to open and close. I have arthritis and it was very painful to open and close the machine each time. The machine is very loud and noisy. It barely made half a cup of coffee, wasting the coffee pods because I had to use to each time. Also, if there is not enough water in the containers it won't warn you it just makes a few drops of coffee. It's hard to get the used pods out to clean it out. The water container is also hard to reach and remove and replace. The worst part is that the coffee is only lukewarm, so by the time I got to work with my thermos, the coffee was already cold, I work 15 minutes from home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible purchase

purchased the virtuo next just before christmas. it worked well for the first month. loved the coffee. then no matter what we did, descale, cleaning, resetting to factory settings, cleaning all aspects of the inside on a daily basis, help from the troublershooting folks at nespresso, this machine is unreliable and won’t brew. the white light comes on then the red light blinks twice, meaning that it is unable to recognize the pod in it. Have replaced with a new pod but always with the same result. the troubleshooting people keep won’t allow a replacement to the machine until they try to make it work.
Even after all of this, I have given up on the machine and nespresso. I do NOT recommend the purchase of this machine.

We certainly want your Nespresso experience to be special and exactly to your satisfaction. Please allow us to provide some user tips that may help. Open the upper head unit and carefully grab around the rotating unit to rotate it all the way around one way, then all the way around the other way, until the rotating unit spins easily. Insert your Nespresso capsule, and ensure the lever is fully locked with a slight click sound. Firmly press the cup button once and the coffee will dispense shortly.
For best maintenance for your Vertuo Next, we recommend to always eject the used capsule after every use, run the Clean Cycle once a week to eliminate coffee grounds build up within the brew unit, and descale your machine every three months. All removable spare parts, including the water tank, should be washed by hand at least once a week.

We’ve had three that all stopped working after about three months. Great up until that point! But soooooo unreliable and short-lived. Choose a different model.

Have to buy new machine to use Alto capsules :/

I haven’t tried the Vertuo Next machine but I have been waiting about two years for the Vertuo Alto capsule size to return. Now that it finally has, it doesn’t work with my Vertuo Plus machine!
If I want to use alto capsules I have to purchase another machine. This feels like bad customer appreciation!
Seriously considering ending my longtime relationship with Nespresso.

Thanks for your review. We understand your disappointment regarding the Alto blends not brewing in your VertuoPlus machine models. Our Alto, Pour Over Style, and Cold Brew blends, were created to brew in the Vertuo Next, Vertuo Pop+, and Vertuo Creatista machine. You may brew an Intenso capsule in the same cup twice, as an alternative to the discontinued Alto Intenso, in addition to brewing Melozio twice as an alternative to the discontinued Alto Dolce. We trust you will find this information useful, to enjoy the previously offered 14 oz. cup of coffee.

If I could give it a ZERO I would :(

I LOVE the flavor of the coffee it makes (other than it's lukewarm), but it decides when to work which isn't often. It's less than a year old and I didn't want to fuss with the return (seeing that others are on their 4th machine with all the same stupid issues). It makes one cup a day IF that. It flashes and I have tried and tried and tried but I am DONE. It's not worth the frustration when in the morning I'd just like a cup or two of coffee. SO disappointed. I literally just threw it in the trash. What a waste of money. DO NOT BUY!!!!! Trust the bad reviews, they are sadly true. I don't think I'll be buying any Nespresso ever again.

Poor quality

I am on the second replacement for this model under warranty with frequent calls for troubleshooting. The issue is that you press brew, it makes a noise, no coffee, and the light flashes orange. This happens frequently. Each time contacting support to go through the process of cleaning cycle, restart, test, and then it may work/or not. The result is wasted time and expensive coffee pods. It's intended to be a simple, one-button push but it is not reliable. Sad since the coffee tastes great when it works.
