Needs better UI designers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works fine. The UI is terrible, though, as if designed to annoy the user. Basic operations take at least two, usually more like four too many presses. At least the touch screen itself works pretty well. As a software engineer and UI designer with many years experience, I'd be glad to share my detailed feedback if the developers actually want it and will act on it. There are some very easy things you could do that would make it significantly better.
1. It's annoying that I have to press the touch screen once to wake it up from sleep mode and then again to present the useful screen. At the very least, opening up the oven should take it out of sleep mode so I don't have to do that first press.
2. Don't spend a whole second telling me that I've closed the oven. I know already, I'm the one that closed it. What I really want to do it press Start since I just opened it up from preheating to put food in, now I want to start it. If it's important to you that you tell me I've closed the oven, since perhaps you think I can't tell, then put it in an information banner above the control screen, but don't get in the way of what I want to do.

I've had this oven for a month now. Very pleased with my purchase. I love the Air Fry option because it gives you a large cooking area and it works great. It's beautiful and seems well made. I like the color screen. Microwave is a great size. Drawbacks: I would prefer that the touch screen be a bit more responsive. And, there is not an option to cut off the turntable in the microwave so using a 9 X14 is not possible unlike my previous microwave. Overall though many available options are great and I would recommend!

We have the twin to this “Studio” model with a much easier display. The Studio’s display is over egineered and takes too many steps to achieve your purpose and can easily lead to messy errors in cooking. The “Regular” model is exactly the same but a much easier display. The size and cooking ability of both models is excellent. We have the regular model in our primary home and love it. We thought the”Studio” model would be the same but have been disappointed with its operation complexity. We accidentally entered forty minutes instead of 40 seconds and a great explosion occurred and an incredible mess. That type of error would not happen with the ”Regular” model. We give the regular model five stars but take away two stars for the “Studio” model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a total upgrade from the oven I had before. I can do more cooking and less waiting. It is also my first LG appliance. I am enjoying the experience of the LCD touch display and how accurate and faster my food comes out. It gives the speed of a microwave while cooking like a high-quality oven, has voice-activated features of Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, and has a ThinQ app available for more assistance through my phone. Overall it has been a wonderful experience, and I haven't even used all the features of this oven. It's an all-in-one appliance for everything.

Solid oven with usable features

The operator interface is intuitive and I can find my way around without referencing any literature. The interface is laggy at times, especially when waking from being off for some time
