New induction stove

So far the stove has operated great! No complaints. Love rhe WiFi capability and linking the stove to the microwave functions. We have it set so the microwave exhaust and lights activate when the stove top is activated.

Broke quickly and took three months to fix
on August 2, 2026
Posted by: Tytell
from Boston
The unit blew an internal fuse, and it took three visits to mostly fix it. I say mostly since we still have lights that won't turn on. But at least the burners work now. This was after three months of ownership on a brand new unit. Maybe we just got a lemon, but I'm very worried about how often this will need to be repaired.

Can't turn off WiFi transmissions
on May 15, 2026
Posted by: Cwfranklin
Trying to stop the WiFi transmissions: the app will only allow you to turn off the public display of the NAME of the LG oven's WiFi network. The WiFi signal is still occuring - and it's a very high level of exposure. For those who don't want high levels of RF transmissions being radiated 24/7 - you're out of luck.
LG appliances need to have a way to simply turn off WIFI transmissions on the control panel. The THINQ app takes so much time to install and connect - and from the app, there's no way to shut off the RF transmission.

No value add. My old stove was better.
on October 1, 2025
Posted by: spagbo
The only thing I hear from people is "It boils water fast". Not important to me. I thought it was going to save energy.
I wish we hadn't bought it. l wish we had replaced our old stove with another "old technology" cooktop/oven.
Despite having read the booklet multiple times I find the directions confusing/unhelpful/poorly organized/incomplete.
The cooktop and display window are hard to clean. They stay smeary after cleaning (with glass cooktop product). Takes a lot of buffing to get them clean. Spills and dust fall on and between the knobs on the front. Hard to wipe between knobs. I wish the knobs and displays were on the back of the cooktop. Haven't gotten used to looking down for the everything.
Tried the air frying function several times without getting crispy results.
I find the convection bake to take longer, not shorter.
I never had a problem with uneven cooking with my old oven, so this supposed attribute doesn't help me.
It seems like a good safety function for a burner to turn off after a pan has been removed momentarily, but it is hard to get used to turning it back on when you return the pan. To turn it back on, you have to turn the knob off and start over.
There is a lot of pushing "start" to use functions. There are a lot of buttons to push in general to achieve one function. So many different beeps/tones, hard to know which is which
So many options which I don't need.
And I had to get rid of the pots I loved and had had for decades to get magnetic ones.

No bottom heating element - "probake" is horrible
on July 15, 2025
Posted by: boughtatLowes
Everything will burn like it's on convect even when it's on bake.
Despite the glowing reviews on Consumer Reports, no one tells you that there is not a bottom heating element at all - it has been completely removed, surely to save cost on what is a premium range. The marketing materials all want you to think that "probake" fixes this by running the convection fan continuously, but that only means there are now two different modes of convection with no traditional "bake".
Frozen pizza? Edges burnt and middle barely warm.
Cakes? Top browned before the middle is cooked.
Biscuits that are normally at 425? Try 375 and hope for the best in a thick walled pan.
I only realized this after 6 months of waffling between thinking it's me needing to adjust my baking and not using it out of frustration. Then finally found a reddit thread explaining why.
TL;DR: Pay for a top tier range that's missing regular "bake" that has been in ovens for a hundred years.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, we truly understand how this has affected you. The ProBake system was designed to provide more even heating by placing the element at the back, paired with a convection fan, rather than at the bottom like traditional ovens. While many users find it bakes evenly, we also know that it can change how certain recipes behave. We’d be glad to help troubleshoot , if you’re open to it, reach us through social media @LGUSSUpport. We thank you for your honest review, and we're here to help! ^Jose

Loved the range, not the quality of oven coating
on May 6, 2025
Posted by: PJHG
from New Jersey
We bought this range in March of 2025, partly based on the excellent reviews in Consumer Reports. The range worked fine and we loved the induction cooktop, but there was a chip in the blue interior of the oven so we returned it and ordered another. The second range came with two chips in the interior and a long scratch down the side, along with scratched stainless edges on the cooktop, so we returned the second one too. I really wanted to keep the range, but there were blue chips of the coating every time I wiped the bottom of the oven and I was worried about them getting into food because of the convection fan.

Right sided elements failed within 3 months.
on January 23, 2025
Posted by: MusicManStan
Both right sided induction elements completely failed within 3 months. Oven temperature probe spotty, often does not register a temperature. No replacement parts (as of Dec 2024) and was not offered a refund.
Before it failed it was a pleasure to use, beautiful, and extremely effective in heating.

Great Induction Stove - No Cable Stain Relief
on December 25, 2024
Posted by: VAD716
We're impressed with the induction stove top and oven features. Induction compatible stove-top pans are required, but the speed and control of the heat is worth the extra pan expense. The oven temperature is fully controllable and accurate; and the oven size is generous. The oven racks are not as hefty as others but the slide out rack is easy to use. Note that the stove top is equipped with a safety feature which automatically turns a burner off if it detects someone too close providing warning, "beeping" sound; the user must turn the burner off and on again to continue using the burner.
The stove was provided without a required romex cable strain-relief/connector; the LG installation instructions indicate a 1 3/8 inch strain-relief/connector is needed when in fact a 1 inch strain-relief/connector is required. Note that the strain-relief/connector type shown is not available in our area electrical supply houses; and a different style 1" stain relief connector was used.
