It takes 2-3 smoothie cycles for it to properly blend. Also the container moves off center on the base a lot while blending.

Hi there! Vitamix containers are not designed to lock into place. Therefore, it is completely normal for the container shift slightly while on the base. When you turn the unit on, you will notice that the container may shift slightly to the right or the left. This is intended, as the motor base is aligning with the container for optimal performance. If you feel more comfortable, you may place your hand on top of the lid while you blend to better secure the container. However, do not press down on the container in an attempt to “lock” it in place, as doing so could cause damage the motor. Also know that the programs are a suggested time, typically for a single serve smoothie, you may have to blend longer when making a large batch like in this photo. Using you tamper while blending will also speed up the process. Please call us at 1-800-848-2649 and we would be happy to troubleshoot the machine and provide more blending tips.
This is the second Vitamix blender I’ve owned and I am so happy I chose to go back to them. I’ve been using a Ninja blender due to cost for the last couple of years and I have quickly realized that I was getting what I was paying for! The operation of the blender is user friendly and the performance is amazing. The food is blended perfectly without unwanted clumps. The blender holds a decent amount of food as well and works quickly.
Pros: Speed of Service, Texture Quality, Easy to use, Recipe Enhancement, Power
Was really excited to replace my old Vitamix whose motor went bad. Unfortunately, this little guy is not going to last as long as my old one. I can hear the motor struggling and I think it might be defective. Also has an awful toxic odor that hasn't dissipated yet.
Pros: Versatility

Hi there. We are sorry to hear of your experience. Please call us at 1-800-848-2649, so we can go over some troubleshooting and blending tips.
This machine is everything I wished for. Anyone aspiring to run the full gamut of blending duties, with a specific affinity for how to handle seemingly delicate powdered protein mixes, this blender's speed control is a beautiful thing to behold. No more unnecessary aeration/frothing.
There is a lot to like about this product but the only things I will comment on is the self-cleaning function, the overall build quality and the complete focus on comprehensive controls. All of these facets are worth the price-of-entry vs. the typical, consumer grade offerings littered about. Other reviewers offer very comprehensive insight to the quality & capability of the Ascent X2.
I appreciate the fact that this unit is assembled in the U.S. and has a solid backing, with the 10-year warranty.
Pros: A quieter & controlled experience Variable speed Solid controls (dial & toggle switches), including the power switch (vs. older models) Easy to clean Easy to use Made in the USA That warranty!
Pros: Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Product features, Power
