Awesome upgrade to an incredible line of sink Garbage Disposal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not my first garbage disposal from InSinkErator. I always enjoyed this product but the older ones were noisy and not as powerful. Time to upgrade!
This model came with excellent installation directions and every conceivable part one would need to install. Install took less than 25 minutes.

The new unit is quieter than my older one ever was. And it also appears to really grind things up faster and more efficiently even bones and other items my old one struggled with. This unit, like its predecessor is a champ!!
The ring setup and wiring were unchanged from years past, although the power cable looks higher quality than before. There's just no one that does it better.

Great garbage disposal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] HUGE upgrade from the old one it replaced. Very powerful and more quiet as well. The unit is average sized from my experience. If you have average skill set and do other DIY projects around the house this should not be a huge ordeal to replace but I don't think it would be too expensive for a handyman or preferably a plumber to install for you.

Instead of spending time cleaning out the sink clogged with veggies and other food scraps, I just run the water and the garbage disposal takes care of the rest. Had my husband install it and he said it was not too hard to set up. Overall, I'm really happy with it!

Surprisingly quiet for its power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the box, I was impressed by the massive size of the Power .75HP, 3/4 HP garbage disposal from InSinkErator. However, I was a bit concerned because I wasn’t sure if the unit would fit underneath my sink without making some sort of alterations. The weight was also quite heavy and I wondered if this would make installation a difficult process for one person. The disposal is powered by the larger .75HP motor, though, so I wasn’t sure exactly what size/weight to expect.
Included in the box is everything needed to connect the disposal to existing plumbing, as well as a dishwasher. In my case, my dishwasher connects to a cross-pipe so I just left it that way. The instructions are a bit small and faint, so I had a hard time reading them at some points, but the illustrations were helpful. For the most part, an experienced DIY’er could install this without instructions. There are just a couple of parts that require clarification, such as the power connection and the rubber gasket on the disposal’s housing where the drain pipe connects. Everything else is fairly straightforward.
That being said, once I mounted the disposal, my pipes did not align and I ended up having to cut/lower them. If I weren’t experienced with plumbing, I would have had to call a plumber which would have been quite expensive. I don’t know if the problem was because my plumbing was at the wrong height or if the disposal’s drain is at an unusual height, so I won’t be taking off stars for this.
Once installed, the unit runs beautifully. When I switch on the power on the wall, the disposal doesn’t make a loud click like so many do and the grinding is relatively quiet considering its power. I have been using it for weeks and have run a lot of different types of foods through it with zero difficulties.
Overall, Power .75HP, 3/4 HP garbage disposal from InSinkErator is powerful, durable, and easy to install. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable unit with a name to back it up. However, because of its large size, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of having to modify your existing plumbing configuration.

Powerful and Mighty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Power .75 HP Garbage Disposal is amazing at removing the peskiest of food scraps from dishware. It was very easy to install and I did not have to solicit the expertise or craftsmanship of a professional to do so. It quietly grinds so as to not be disturbing when others in the home are trying to work or sleep. I have put tough, fibrous things down my drain (eg, meat, starchy and whole chunks of vegetables) which have been ground down to fine particles with ease. My sink has not clogged once since I have installed this, and I use it multiple times per day. It is pretty compact and fits nicely under my kitchen sink. It is a wonderful addition to any new or older home and a must buy appliance. I have used InSinkErator products for years and know they are a brand that is durable and efficient. Five stars!
