Good performance, but impossible to keep clean.

I purchased the DT551 oven in December and have used this on an almost daily basis. I am so far happy with its performance, however cleaning this oven is a chore at best. Cleaning the racks, broiler tray and air fry basket are easy. What is not easy and almost impossible is cleaning the inside of the oven especially after air frying as the splatter get all over the oven walls and the circulation fan. I try to clean up after each use however the splatter gets baked on and is very difficult to remove even after one use.
I called Ninja support and was told the only method of cleaning suggested is to use mild soapy water and a sponge. Using an oven cleaner is NOT recommended as it could damage the interior finish of the oven.
My biggest complaint is the fact that Ninja removed the grease screen that use to be in front of the circulation fan which use to catch the grease before it entered the fan, most likely a cost cutting measure. Now it just sucks all of the grease splatter into the fan which is behind the rear wall of the oven making it impossible to clean.
Why Ninja would choose to use a finish on the oven walls that is so delicate that you can only use soapy water and can't use an oven cleaner is ridiculous considering the amount of baked on splatter developed and the cost of this oven.
I would have given this oven a better rating then 2 stars if it weren't for the impossible cleaning of the oven itself.
You may want to look elsewhere if you're looking for an oven that is easier to clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not last part 2 years! Disgusting!

We are on our THIRD Ninja. I am disappointed and disgusted that the Ninja Air Fryer Oven does not last part 1 -1/2 years. The first died without warning. The 2nd one started making noise after it gets hot. Then it suddenly died last week. Unfortunately, I purchased another one but it's still in the box and I'm trying to find an Air fryer oven that will last!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am going to be fair and give only 2 stars because the unit was great until it stopped working. Used it for a few months for various food items and it performed well. However, one day recently it just decided to stop turning on. I open the door and it beeps and the interior light turns on but none of the controls on the handle come up anymore.

Worst don’t buy it. If you’re looking for crispy wings or fries this is not it. Temperature supposed to get to 450 we tried 3 different temperature gauges lucky to get 300. Save your money unless you want to take an hour for frozen wings or nuggets.

Wow this oven cooks fast, used probe for chicken done in 30 minutes. Toasts great, bakes quickly. Fans a bit noisy can accept that. Countertop space about 18” x 19” Happy with my choice.
I would recommend this to a friend!
