This is a beautiful addition to the backyard. I am so pleased with the quality of workmanship and the ease of connecting the camera. Using a QR code made it so simple. A big plus is that it holds lots of seed. Can't wait to see all the birds enjoying this feeder

Excellent Feeder

This is my second Bamboo Smart Feeder, an easy choice for addition, as it is an excellent feeder. It is easy to put together, and easy to bring on line. (Must use 2.4 Ghz) It produces great videos, and the AI bird identifier is pretty accurate. If there is a mis-identification, there is an option to correct and submit the error. It also has night vision capability, should anything show up while you sleep. The settings allow for black and white infra red, or color.
The large capacity of food is a plus, but it does make the feeder heavy. Mounting is therefore best on a 4x4 post, or a wall. There is a pole mounting option, but the pole would need to be very sturdy. And, regardless of mount, if you have squirrels around, you will need a baffle system.
The top lifts up for easy filling, and snaps firmly shut. There can be no loose seeds along the top edges or camera cover, else the lid will not snap closed, so be sure to brush any away. Also be sure to keep the latch clear of seeds.
It's easy to clean...monthly, or after a soaking rain. Just take it down, remove the camera, wash, and dry. Re-assemble, and your are ready to re-mount and fill.
The solar panel keeps the charge, so after the initial charging of the battery, you are good to go. Connecting to the app is easy, and once installed and mounted, you'll get great videos. And, there are several options in the app to tailor the viewing to your liking.
Whether you are adding to your collection of feeder cams, or just getting started, this is a perfect feeder to consider.

Great Bird Feeder

This is my fourth Birdfy product, and once again, I’m very pleased with it. I really like the sleek, modern design of the Bamboo Feeder—it looks great in my yard.
The printed instructions were a bit sparse, but there are plenty of helpful videos online that made setup easy. I chose not to install the extender because I wanted to discourage larger birds, and that has worked well for me.
The camera provides a wide field of view while still allowing birds to come right up close, resulting in fantastic views. One of my favorite features is the two separate seed compartments. I can offer two different types of seed at the same time and see which the birds prefer.
The feeder is on the heavy side, which makes it feel sturdy and well-built, yet it’s still easy to remove and reattach for refilling and cleaning. The AI bird recognition is excellent and does a wonderful job identifying the visitors.
Overall, this is another outstanding Birdfy product, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys birdwatching.
