I am really enjoying my garmin. The battery life is great and it lasts me days before I have to charge it. I like the customizability a lot. Having the music feature means I get to run without my phone. It does need to be “synced” to my phone pretty often in order to access all capabilities. I have noticed some inaccuracies with the sleep tracking.

Disclaimer: this is my first smart watch purchase. The customization is great if anything, overwhelming. You can change anything. The step count, heart rate and sleep trackers are the standout winners for me. Workout tracking can be cumbersome at times. But screen, buttons and layout are all intuitive and well done.

Good for running

This watch is really good for my son who is a star xc runner. He also does a lot of other sports. This watch is very durable and does not crack even though he has had it for years. Sometimes I have trouble with the watch and it will have a slight glitch.I would recommend this watch.

I just made the switch from an Apple Watch (I broke the screen 3x before realizing the Apple Watch wasn’t for me) to the Garmin Forerunner 165. Like all new tech, it took me about 3 days to start enjoying my new watch. Watching YouTube videos really sped up that process.
Now I love it. I love the garmin app on my phone, especially the workouts that they suggest for me. The battery life is great, and customizing the face of the watch was my favorite part. Getting all the information that I want right away has been enjoyable.
I was also worried about it being waterproof, but I’ve been in the pool 3x and haven’t had any issues.
So far I’m a happy customer. Thank you!

It took a bit for me to get used to moving over to a Garmin from an Apple Watch, but I love it! It lasts so much longer and the routes are way more accurate.

New Garmin owner here. I really like this watch! I’ve had Apple Watch for years. This new watch was pretty easy to set up & adjust settings. However, I still can’t download music from Spotify! That’s been very frustrating!! Otherwise, it’s been very user friendly for a non tech person.

Awesome watch, music could use an update

I bought this watch after a long 10 year break from running. I wanted to see my heart rate zones, know my pace, and have a stopwatch to track my progress. I didn’t know about hrv before purchasing this watch, but I like the hrv feature to gauge over training and sometimes too much life stress to know when to scale back workouts to not risk injury. I also like the sleep feature, not only realizing time asleep…but also that I don’t have adequate deep sleep unless I do some type of vigorous activity is an interesting insight. My one qualm is with the music, I wish you could skip tracks while in running mode, but you can only play the downloaded songs straight through while the watch is engaged in an activity. I do really appreciate the insight the watch affords, so much so I bought two more for my teenagers so they could reflect on their sports training, and a kids Garmin bc our primary school child did not want to be left out of the watch fun.
