[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a genuine OEM refrigerator water filter made for Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana, and JennAir models. It is designed to be replaced every six months or about 200 gallons and is certified to reduce contaminants such as lead, mercury, chlorine, and chemicals that affect taste and odor. I notice clearer, better-tasting water and ice after installation, and the twist-in design makes replacement quick and tool-feel. Because it’s an official manufacturer filter, it provides reliable compatibility and filtration performance that wont risk violating a refrigerator warranty. The main downside are cost and occasional fit issues. OEM filters are more expensive than generic alternatives, and some report difficulty getting a filter to fully lock in or experiencing reduced water flow before the six month mar, often due to local water quality.

After replacing the old filter,the water clarity and taste improved noticeably -it tastes fresh and clean with no strange odor . The filter itself feels well-made,and the materials seem durable and reliable.I've been using it for a while now and have not experienced any leaks or dripping 👍🏻

It installed so easy and quick, with zero leakage. It looks to be made to standard with the stock filter that came in the fridge so I'm definitely hopeful its durability and longevity will match! Seems to be a really great, affordable fridge filter!
