Lights are too thick for slim down light applications

These things feel light and hollow, so I would bet they could be slimmer. That and competitors are all slimmer. One of the reasons to use the slim down light without a can is because it may bridge a joist in the ceiling. Sadly, these lights are all thicker than all drywall thicknesses. They stick out from the ceiling if they span a stud/joist. There's no way to fix it without cutting the wood or somehow modifying the light. For that reason, these lights are not fit for purpose. I really like Govee's other products, so this one was disappointing.

Lights are nice. Would not buy again, don't need to be plastered with ads when I open the app, not a good experience.

They are useless. the clips are not long enough to secure into a 6 inch recessed can housing so they just fall out. I just wasted my money because I literally cannot use them.

Super clean and nice color. Kinda expensive. Had to buy 2 sets since my kitchen has 5 lights. A customized amount would be nice to see. Govee has been a nice brand. I have a ton of their products and they hold up well.

The only way you would agree with my comment is if you test the product same time with other brands and I did

The lights are coming on 4 to 6 seconds after we hit the switch.

I put the 4 inch recess lights in 3 bedrooms and 6 inch recess lights in 1 bedroom.
The lights are coming on 4 to 6 seconds after we hit the switch, which is totally not acceptable. Please let me know if there is a way to mitigate this. I asked the electrician if there is anything that can be done, he rechecked the wiring and said there is nothing wrong with the wiring and the issue is with the smart lights.
I spend the whole day yesterday on trying to fix this but was unsuccessful.
Can you please reply if there is any solution to this.
