Retro Recess lights.

They went right in the light buckets and work great. When they're set on a nice warm light, you have no idea that they can change colors and do a bunch of crazy stuff! Very cool! Love all my Givee purchases so far and I've bought a bunch.

Smart Retrofit RecessedLights

We love these lights and they work as advertised. They were very easy to install. It took more time setting up the lights on the Govee Home app then it took me to install the four new lights. Install is very easy and no technical skills are required. They are truly plug & play.
I have them in sync with the Govee Envisual TV Backlight T2 system on our family room 85 inch TV. My wife didn't notice that the lights were changed until the room started changing colors to mirror the TV screen colors. She was amazed at the atmosphere these new lights create.

Perfect product

Cound not be any easier to install. I stalled 12 of them in about 30 mins. Brighter than ever. Plus now I can change color to set the mode for watching movies or play video games. A must buy.

Lights are too thick for slim down light applications

These things feel light and hollow, so I would bet they could be slimmer. That and competitors are all slimmer. One of the reasons to use the slim down light without a can is because it may bridge a joist in the ceiling. Sadly, these lights are all thicker than all drywall thicknesses. They stick out from the ceiling if they span a stud/joist. There's no way to fix it without cutting the wood or somehow modifying the light. For that reason, these lights are not fit for purpose. I really like Govee's other products, so this one was disappointing.

Keep you money
The only way you would agree with my comment is if you test the product same time with other brands and I did
Colors NOT even close to other brands and are like when your marker has low ink.

Looks like they would be great...

I did not pay enough attention to the product and realized that retrofitting an existing can light in a ceiling that does not have any crawl space above it was more work than I wished to tackle. This would be a great product for new contruction or if you were able to get to the existing light from above. I do wish Govee had a BR30 smart bulb in their lineup. Overall looks to be another great product from Govee. I did return the lights and chose a BR30 smart bulb from another manufacturer
