[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I am happy with the Lenovo ThinkPad E16 laptop. There are three issues I have encountered that make it less than perfect.
1) the fingertip reader does not always work, nor does it recognize my finger every time
2) Some programs on startup have their windows off screen.
3) Some menu items run off the screen as well
It would be nice to have an easy fix for these problems
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a great setup. Does everything I need it to do and more. I used an X1 Carbon for a long time, and though it was great, I really wanted something with a number pad. The E16 fit the bill.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lenovo ThinkPad E16 Gen 2 has truly exceeded my expectations as a daily driver. After three months of intensive use, I can confidently say this machine is a masterpiece of business computing. The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor handles everything I throw at it with remarkable efficiency, and the system stays surprisingly quiet even under heavy loads. The build quality is exceptional, with a sturdy metal construction that exudes premium quality. What really shines is the keyboard - it’s simply perfect for long typing sessions, offering tactile feedback that makes writing a genuine pleasure. The 16-inch display, with its crisp resolution and 353 nits of brightness, makes every visual task enjoyable. Battery life is impressive, lasting 7-9 hours on moderate use, and the comprehensive port selection, including dual USB-C ports, ensures I’m never left wanting for connectivity. The upgradability options are fantastic, with support for up to 64GB RAM and 8TB of storage. Perhaps the most impressive feature is the integrated NPU for AI tasks, which noticeably speeds up various workflows. The cooling system deserves special mention - it manages to keep the laptop comfortable during intensive tasks while maintaining whisper-quiet operation. While the speakers might not blow you away, everything else about this laptop screams quality and thoughtful design. For anyone seeking a reliable, powerful, and well-built business laptop, the ThinkPad E16 Gen 2 is an absolute winner.
