Disappointing

Bought in fall 2020, this microwave has broken down when it should have given us many years of reliable service. It stops after a few minutes of cooking, the screen goes dark and that’s it, no more cooking until it repowers on its own after a few minutes. Repairs, if possible, would be very expensive. Disappointing outcome for a type of appliance that usually works for many years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After reading all the reviews here...I need to give my review about this microwave. So other than the loud slamming of the door. Now the humming noise. Less than 3yrs old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Third microwave bites the dust--this time in 2.5 years. I am disgusted to be dealing with this again and to be without a microwave. KitchenAid knowingly sells junk for the landfill. Clearly, from reading reviews, this microwave is a problem, so why is it still available for sale?

There are no numbers, so you can't set the timer to the exact time you need or the cook time to an exact time. What a dumb design. I never thought I would need to look at that as I have never seen it on another microwave. Don't waste your money. I'm looking to replace it now. Kitchen Aid I'm disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not totally happy with this model. First of all, it didn't fit the built-in space where the original Kitchen Aid microwave was installed when we bought this new house in 2003. It bewilders me why the size had to change. Secondly, there are no screws to hold the inlet cover which fell off the first time I wiped that side. So it's sitting on the counter. It happened after hours last Friday so we will call you to send the appropriate screws. Thirdly, the turntable is a bit wobbly and is difficult to center. Also, I don't like the Stop feature before opening the door.
