Don’t buy this one.

I hate this microwave. Model #WMCS7022RB00. It lacks precision. It does not have a numeric keypad therefore the user cannot put in a precise time. I want to heat water for my tea for 1 minute and forty-four seconds. No can do. The door lock is inconvenient at best, not necessary, and a real pain. Also, so confusing.
I wish I had never bought this beast. I’ve used it for a month hoping I would grow to like it, but no.
Whoever thought eliminating a numeric keypad was a good idea?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this as the replacement model for my 6 year old one that the button for opening the door cracked and fell out, hoping it’d fit the same trim kit. It didn’t and I had to buy a new trim kit as well. So far this model works ok, but if I was going to have to buy a new trim kit anyway, I’d had shopped more and probably bought a different model. I’d prefer one I could actually set as many seconds as I wanted not in 15 seconds intervals. Also, glass plate is different size so I couldn’t even salvage that. I hope this one lasts longer than the last.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was time to purchase a new microwave after our old one lasted 25 years and for the most part we are happy with this one. A couple things could use improvement like backlighting all the items on the control panel so they can be seen easily in low light. And have the button to press to open the door clearly marked instead ot black on black,m again so it is easy to see in low light. Other than that we are happy with iit, easy to learn to operate. It is roomier than our old one and can accomodate larger items easily. The light inside though is pretty dim so you can't see the food you're heating to tell if it is time to take it out without stopping and opening the door to check. A real drawback. Our old machine had a much brighter light so if you were melting something it was easy to see if it was done, a drawback because I depended on that a lot, lke for melting butter quickly.

Whirlpool SS microwave 1.6 countertop

Ordered this microwave. Supposed to be Stainless Steel. When delivered it was all black except for a very narrow stainless steel strip across the top! Really like the microwave's features but disappointed that it doesn't match my other stainless steel kitchen appliances.

It's actually a replacement for another Whirlpool microwave (basically the same model) that stopped working after 5 months. I'm very happy with Whirlpool's customer and warranty service. Even though the first microwave didn't last long, I recommend Whirlpool just for the service.

New model is horrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement by whirlpool because our new one that was less than 6 months old made a very large metal noise and then had error codes on it. You have to lock and unlock the door each time. You can not set it for exactly the time you want. You have to set it in 5 minute increments. Don’t like anything about it. Kind of tells you how many issues they have when Whirlpool will just replace the unit and not even try to fix it. Their service department is great to work with. But I hate the new microwave!
