The sticky tape underneath it is completely dry, and it won't adhere to any surface.
I ended up using my own gorilla tape and made it work. It works better without a phone case, but still does its job regardless.
good, strong hold - if you can get it to glue anywhere.

After a few questions by the sale rep he said he had good feed back on this item. I took his word and gave it a go. Very happy with. I have three other types at double to triple the price and this on surpasses them for what I want. Clean, slim, looks good without a phone even.
I would recommend this to a friend!
