Nice Double Oven, Great Cooktop, Mediocre Details
on December 15, 2024
Posted by: James
I received compensation for this review but the review is my own.
First the PROS:
1) We love the look of it and the double oven feature is super. Years ago we had a different range with two ovens this similar size (not with "flex", just permanently divided). Having the small upper oven on the prior range was awesome and I'm guessing it will be with this one as well. So often the things we bake fit into a smaller space; takes less time to pre-heat and uses less energy compared to using the big oven The Flex feature seems cool but time will tell how often we take out the divider.
2) The controls are intuitive and easy to use. I liked the look of the one with the knobs but my wife preferred this one with no knobs. She was right, it looks great and will be easier to clean than knobs.
3) Glide drawer with ball bearings. Awesome for heavy/awkward items. More safe too.
4) The arrangement of the induction elements is thoughtfully arranged for people who actually cook.
5) The induction burners are super powerful. We've been using one of those counter top induction cooktop plates for years. We thought our counter top thing rocked (faster than our gas stove) but this unit blows it away in terms of power and speed.
6) Looks great!
Next the CONS:
1) Fit and finish seem a little mediocre. Like for example the drawer at the bottom isn't on gliders with bearings or any gliders at all. Just the sheet metal lip hooks over two small black plastic (nylon?) pieces in front and that' what it "slides" in and out on. Another example is that the top door of the oven doesn't open to a full horizontal. So when you pull out the glide drawer it bumps into the door part way through it's glide.
Lastly, it's got all this WIFI and smart app stuff. We likely will not use the "Smart" features and not even hook it up to our WIFI so cannot comment on those features.

Love this Range!

I’ve been using the Samsung Bespoke Slide-In Induction Range with Flex Duo for a few months now, and I have to say—it has completely changed my cooking experience. I did a lot of research before making the purchase, and while it was a bit of an investment, I can confidently say it was worth every penny. The slide-in design gives it a built-in look, and the smooth glass-ceramic cooktop makes it feel high-end. The cooktop is super easy to wipe down, and because it’s induction, food doesn’t burn onto the surface. This was my first time using an induction cooktop, and I was amazed at how fast it heats up. Water boils in under two minutes, and the precise temperature control makes everything from simmering sauces to searing steaks effortless. I love everything about it so far, and would definitely recommend purchasing it. I received compensation for this review but the review is my own.
I would recommend this to a friend!

worst experience with samsung

Samsung is not responsible for any warranty.
buy Whirlpool or Frigidaire or other brands that respond to the warranty, do not wash your hands with ridiculous things like cockroaches that damaged the entire system
Other brands do work on any indoor insect, if not, let me know.

bamboozled. Must Read !

First, let me say this stove is not on floor anywhere. so you have to rely on the sales rep and. research. The problem is all of the research and sales rep say that the microwave connects to the stove and when you put a pot on the stove, as long as you get a "bespoke range and microwave". It's called auto connectivity. I purchased both for this feature. This is not the case. LIES!! I feel bamboozled. This was one of the main features I wanted, Then,I was also told about the induction cookware promotion. Great, right? NOPE! I have been chasing Samsung since September ( I was approved for the code.) we are going into Christmas, still nothing. Now let's talk about the range. I do like the induction that's about it, The controls could be better I don't like the sliding method for the oven It does not work and I find myself tapping constantly a it's a huge nuisance. I don't know why they didn't put a number /control pad, or at least the option. in the app. The control panel is extremely sensitive and if you tap it in any way while cooking, it will change the temperature/ setting or turn off. They reconfigured the duo flex so now the top oven. has more room than the bottom oven. I don't like this change. I've had to recalibrate my oven multiple times already. I originally had a duo flex electric range. 0 problems. She still works 9 years later It is currently sitting in my garage. I'm contemplating installing her back and getting rid of the range. Oh, in the microwave didn't work from day 1 I've had to replace. When I was shopping for new appliances, I was on the fence between Samsung and GE. I'm really kicking myself for not going GE. Samsung really dropped the ball on this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Response from Samsung USBy Samsung CareDecember 5, 2024
Hi Jenn,

It’s really frustrating when expectations based on research and sales advice don't match the reality, especially after you’ve made a purchase based on a specific feature you were excited about, like the auto-connectivity between the stove and microwave. We would love to help and provide clarity.

This Samsung range model can connect to the SmartThings app as well as most Bespoke microwave over-the-range models. Most over-the-range microwave models can detect when heat is generated underneath and this triggers the vent fans to turn on automatically. However, a direct connection between this range and a Bespoke over-the-range microwave is not possible since this range is not equipped with a Bluetooth device.

There are some cooktops (not range) that have this feature (connected cooking) to connect with a range hood (not over-the-range microwave) via Bluetooth. The cooktop model NA36N7755TS and range hood model NK30K7000WS have this feature that automatically syncs fans and lights with cooktop burners. For more context, I have shared a Samsung link below.

A range hood will not pair with a cooktop or range:
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01203249/

The control panel is comparable to the touch screen of smartphones that use a capacitive touchscreen. Here are a few reasons why it may feel sensitive:

1. Water or moisture on your hands can change the electrical conductivity, making it difficult for the touchscreen to register touches accurately on the flip side it can also make the control panel sensitive.

2. Moisture as a Larger Contact Area: Wet skin spreads across a larger surface area than dry skin when you touch the screen, allowing for more contact with the screen. This can cause multiple points of contact to be registered, even if you only meant to touch one part of the screen.

While this increased sensitivity can occasionally lead to unintended or excessive screen reactions, it can also lead to quicker and more accurate detection in certain cases — but often with less control. This is why it’s common for touchscreens to be less reliable or unpredictable when wet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we first got this new range, I was very excited to try it out! I loved that the top was more of a matte finish, and I thought that would be easier to clean. After using it, I think it hides the fingerprints and dust more than a shiny finish, but it did streak more. I was also very excited about the touch-senstive buttons, but again, I found them difficult to use at first. Eventually, I figured out that I need to hold them down longer before they will turn on. For me, this isn't an upgrade from knobs. It does look much more fancy, however. I found the unit to cook easily and much prefer the induction top! My food bakes evenly which I love! The only things I really miss is the built-in temperature probe over the previous models. Overall, this is a very nice model!

Induction Is The Future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm fortunate to have owned the previous Flex Duo induction model that Samsung produced, so I was very excited to get the new model to compare.
First, the good: Induction cooking is just amazing in general. It's so much better than gas, and the very slight extra power boost in this model vs. the previous one makes boiling water even more insanely quick. The price is also quite a bit cheaper than the outgoing model (likely because of COVID-19 supply issues back then), so that is a plus. Flex Duo option is great, but just keep in mind the temps between the bays cannot be wildly different because of the design.
The new top is AMAZING. It's a matte finish and appears much more durable than their previous glass-top version. As induction can work through many thin materials, this was a very smart design change and just looks so sharp while being extremely easy to clean. Air fry works just as well as before, and the new air sous vide is interesting, although it's not going to be as accurate as a water bath version. Still, it's a nice option. Convection in both chambers is a rarity in similar models, so it is nice to see Samsung include it.
Okay, now the not-so-good: The biggest con to me is the elimination of the temperature probe. Our family used this all the time to cook meats, lasagnas, and other dishes that took time to come to temperature. No idea why they did this as it is big loss for automatic cooking.
Two things that are probably preferences: First, the ambient light doesn't really add much for me. I suppose it's a nice touch, but it's not a key feature for me. Second, the previous model had knobs instead of a touch panel. While a panel can be more flexible (individual burner timers, syncing zones, etc.), it's also more finicky. You cannot switch temps quickly, and if your hands are wet, it can mess with the finger detection and make it somewhat frustrating to make a simple change.
Regardless, at the end of the day, it's an amazing induction range. I've had great success with my previous Samsung induction range, and I expect equal joy cooking on this one. The sooner more people try induction, the sooner they will convert to ranges like these. Highly recommended!

Great Overall Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cooktop: The matte, non-scratch range glass is easier to keep looking clean and new compared to regular glass top ranges. Induction elements heat up very quickly and can boil water in less than two minutes, using the boost feature. And you can instantly stop it from boiling by pressing the pause button. Performance has been great so far. Control screen will identify when elements are still hot. Induction noise is minimal.
Controls: Built-in touch controls, for both the range and oven, light up sufficiently and are easy to understand and use. Some menu items are a bit more buried in sub menus than they should be. I like that the controls automatically go into lock-out mode so when my cats walk across the controls, they don't turn on the cooktop or oven.
Ambient Edge Lighting: Nice addition to the range. Can be set up to always be on or can pulsate to identify range in use. Recommend software setting update to allow the lighting to turn on automatically at night and off during the day. Color of light can be adjusted in the app.
Oven: Like that it still has a handle to be able to hang dish towel on it. A lot of new ovens don't have handles anymore. Baking performance has been excellent so far baking different breads and pizza. The ability of using Flex Duo feature and double doors provides options for oven use over standard single ovens. The gliding/sliding rack is another nice addition that most ovens don’t come with. I have not used the air fryer or air sous vide functions yet.
SmartThings App: Allows you to control both the cooktop and oven. You must select the control button on the cooktop screen before it allows you to control the range. App makes setting timers and adjusting Ambient Edge lighting easier than using cooktop screen. App also sends notifications to phone and smart watch when oven is preheated and cooking time is finished. App allows you to add/remove what modes display on the control panel.
Definitely recommend this range. Overall, a great performing range with the right number of features and ease of use.

All the bells and whistles and more!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my samsung range for just over a week now and I don’t know how I went so long with my old oven, this thing does it all! Everything heats up so much faster and the air fryer / flex duo component makes it much more versatile than anything else i’ve ever owned. Incredibly stylish along with all the bells and whistles you could ask for! Being able to control it from the SmartThings app has made it even easier to make sure I don’t accidentally leave anything on, I highly recommend downloading it.
This oven really does it all, while looking amazing in the process. From the ambient lighting feature that you can control from the SmartThings app, to the precise heat control this thing is worth every penny. It takes a bit to get used to but the safety features on the cook top when you remove a pan are great for forgetful cooks! It’s also super easy to clean with the self and steam clean setting so no more scrubbing and tinfoil. The anti-scratch top in the matte black make cleaning seamless and looks incredible compared to my old scratched up glass top. I’m still learning all the new features through the app but it feels like there’s nothing this oven can’t do.
I would recommend this to a friend!
