Good Value

Bought because of the great trade in value for my watch 4 classic. Battery is good enough to last one day and night and the features are much better than the 4. Do miss the physical bezel though. Great buy if you have a older watch to take advantage of the trade in specials.

No classsic??

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my wife the new galaxy watch 7 as she had the very last fit** they released and didn't want to go to the G man as she has a Flip 5. She was very skeptical because of how much she loved the fitness ecosystem and users but not necessarily the hardware. She has seen my galaxy watch 6 classic and really seemed to like it. So when her current fitness smartwatch stopped working i got her the watch 7. Now she loves the fit and finish and look and all of that flashing, but she still doesn't enjoy the fitness experience as much as she has on past devices. But now that she has had it for a little while and has had time to really dive deep into the watch she loves it! Her only complaint was that she doesn't like the digital rotating bezels as much as my physical rotating bezel. So moral, great watch, definitely compared to the competition, just bring back the physical rotating bezel for ever!

Poor EKG function.

Very disappointed in the EKG function. More often than not it will say "Inconclusive " or worse tell me I'm in Afib when my Kardia device says normal sinus with pvc's. It could be really frightening for someone with an afib reading and not knowing it's not accurate. For the price I was hoping for better.

Good day Sipde, Thanks for taking the opportunity to review your Samsung Galaxy Watch7. Your feedback allows us to remain committed to constant innovation as we strive to improve the design and functionality of our product line. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Poor fit, movement, and skin contact issues can cause your Galaxy Watch7 to have inconsistent ECG readings. Please wear your Galaxy watch snugly but not too tightly, sit in a comfortable position, and keep your watch and your wrist clean and dry to ensure more accurate ECG readings. The Galaxy Watch7 is intended for general wellness and fitness purposes, not for diagnosing or treating medical conditions. Please feel free to review the resources provided below to help resolve what you may be experiencing with your device. If you have any questions or if you would like any further assistance afterward, do not hesitate to contact Samsung Support. Thank you for being a dedicated Samsung customer. - Debra

Hello Rmaz98,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch7. We strive to provide our customers with exceptional experiences and quality products. Some Galaxy Watch7 features, particularly advanced health ones like ECG and sleep apnea detection, do not work with non-Samsung phones because they require the Samsung Health Monitor app, which is only available on Samsung devices. Other features, like reminders, certain calendar functions, and Samsung Find, also have limited functionality or are unavailable with other Android phones. Basic functions like fitness tracking, weather, and app/watch face installation typically work across different Android phones. If you would like to share additional feedback with us or if you would like any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact Samsung Support at your earliest convenience. Thank you for being a steadfast Samsung customer.

The battery cannot hang.

The watch and software experience seem really solid. However, it's unusable for what it's advertised to do. The battery barely makes it through half of the day. With pretty much everything turned off. No sleep tracking is possible it would die need to charge before bed and probably be dead before I woke up. I've had better battery life from every other smart watch I've ever owned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate you reaching out to provide your honest feedback. We see that you are reaching out concerning your Watch7 and its battery. Samsung offers a 12-month limited warranty for manufacturer defects and covers the cost of parts and labor. If your watch is paired with a Samsung phone you can use Samsung Members to perform a diagnostic on your watch battery. If it passes the test, you'll know the battery is in good condition. We have attached a link below that should help give you options to optimize your Watch7 battery life. If this persists, please reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin

Good watch, but with a problem for diabetics
on July 31, 2024

I bought new Galaxy Watch 7 44mm from the Samsung Store, but it will not work with the Abbott Freestyle Libre 3 Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM). This is apparently due to a substantial upgrade to the watch cpu. The Libre 3 worked with the previous Galaxy Watch models, showing the Libre 3 readout on the watch face. This was the reason I bought the Galaxy Watch 7. Now I need to wait in hope that Samsung, Abbott, or a 3rd party will develop a solution. When and if this is fixed by someone, or a work around is provided, then my review rating will be much higher.

Hey Mreilly. Thanks for sharing your feedback on the Galaxy Watch7. We're glad to see that you are enjoying your watch overall despite the fact that one of your health monitoring apps is compatible at this time. In cases like these, it's best to reach out to the application developer for updates. We hope you've had a chance to check out the body composition measurement feature on your watch. A Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) sensor measures your body's composition using just your fingertips. Set your targets for weight, body fat and muscle mass, and personalize programs to reach your health goals with accuracy. If you have any further concerns or questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin

Very limited LTE

The watch is great if it's connected to your phone via Bluetooth. Other than texts there's effectively no LTE data capability though. The watch overheated all 3 times I tried streaming a podcast on a walk without my phone. Calls out of phone range kill the battery.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on the Galaxy Watch7, Zach. We always love hearing from you! If you have an LTE smartwatch model, there are several reasons why it may not activate or may disconnect from your mobile network after pairing it with a new phone. Check out the link attached for options to help troubleshoot this. Whether you're using a phone, tablet, smartwatch, or earbuds, all Galaxy devices have a set temperature range, where they operate at their best. While they may feel warm under certain conditions, like charging, this does not affect the device's lifespan or performance. However, if your devices get too warm, it could cause some issues. We've also attached a link to help troubleshoot this as well. If any of what you are experiencing continues, please reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin
