multiple problems right out of the box, apparently not tested after whatever refurbishing was done. Did not recognize hard drive, not picking up or recording audio, red speckles across the pictures, not able to connect via app. Previous system I had purchased new had no issues until a lightning strike

I would like to return this system. I am disappointed that it will not let me make the adjustments that it said I can. Even thought it took my security password. This is the 4th or 3rdrd system I have had and would like to go back to a hard wired system. I have always like my night owl system in the past, but this one I am disappointed in. I have just received it a week ago and would like to return it for a hard wired one.

The recording quality is not accurate in the sensitive mode it records with nothing moving and on both medium and sensitive mode it does not always pick an object when moving 30 to 50 feet from the cameras, like a passing car or person.

Doorbell DB-WNIP2-SU

Do not recommend this product. Received new doorbell Model# DB-WNIP2-SU a week ago. Performed installation of device following installation videos. Device connected well and worked for apprximately 10 minutes. Then the device was automatically removed from the App, and unable to add it again. Unable to pair device to the application. Called tech support twice. After 25 minutes on hold, the first rep was hard to understand and unable to solve anything. He asked me to performed the same tasks already done prior to the call as explained previoulsy. Phone call was disconnected. Called back and waited 38 minutes for a rep. The second rep tried several things with no luck. Lastly referred me to a video for connection of cameras..... Too bad it was a gift and unable to return it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing cameras.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great high quality cameras. Battery life is great. I have 2 batteries in each camera and battery life is at 80%. I love that it has the receiver you can hook up to your tv or a computer monitor. Very clear. I really like that the cameras are wireless. So you don't have to worry about tons of wires. It takes a few hours to fully charge.

Doorbell wasn’t working upon receiving it. Contacted Night Owl for replacement, haven’t received anything. Website says they have a EZ return policy. Doesn’t seem that EZ. Shouldn’t be this difficult

Don't Really Recommend with Current App Version

The camera have great features as I have the battery powered version. However, they mean nothing if the app itself doesn’t work properly or even at all sometimes. There are many downsides at the moment. From failing to connect to your cameras and viewing through them on the app to constant loading without end throughout the app such as finding your system or cameras and viewing recorded history.
On the cameras, while they have great features, they don’t always work. Notice sometimes they don’t record anything even though did previously. Got them mainly for the subscription free part and app viewing while away with the nice features, but right now only the subscription free is all I’m getting out of it.

Mediocre Image recognition

I've had 2 of these systems for over 2 years. The image recognition algorithms send notifications on: tree branch shadows, squirrels, cats, dogs, and other animals as Human" notifications. "Activity" zone settings are useless , as I continue to get notifications from images anywhere in the camera FOV. NO tweaking to sensitivity or other settings help eliminate erroneous image notifications. Engineering needs to make lots of improvements to the image recognition algorithms. PS: I’M a Cyber Engineer with over 40 years experience architecting, designing, integrating, operating and maintaining complex IT and security systems.
