I bought this system about a week ago is it is a little glitchy but other that that it works really well.

Camera Range is Terrible

We have had this for about a month, even got two additional cameras. It's used in a large open room with a camera in each corner. The space is like 600 square feet and the cameras have less than one bar, except the camera closes to the recording unit, which is right next to our wifi router. The recorder is hooked up to the wifi router via a lan cable, as recommended. More that 75% of the time, we cannot access our video feeds due to connectivity issues. Seems like this system is weak with no real range and connectivity issues. Now I'm getting grief from my wife on why did i buy this junk and to put the old Wyze cameras back up.....sigh.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

camera range terrible. i mean very bad. lags to see live video. on occasion it drops 1 camera, cannot change certain settings. battery dies very fast. sometimes people pass by and it wont record. changed settings to high and still no luck. get a wired one. forget this wireless junk. no worth it. i returned my 8 camera wired because i didn't want to go in the addict , biggest mistake of my life.

I have had this system less than 6 months and even signed up for cloud storage. Today at about 6 AM it stopped recording anything. No push notifications, no video stored, but everything else is operational. I will be canceling my cloud account and disposing of the system as I am tired of having issues with this garbage.

Outstanding Camera Quality Both Day and Night!

Fast delivery of product as shown and promised. Cameras were easy to install, but the DVR/NVR setup was not all that simple or as easy as expected. After several reboots and needing to create a DDNS ID, Password and Domain name we were finally able to get the system set up and configured to our personal preferences. The camera quality is outstanding! Wide view and bright colors in daylight and crystal clear B&W images at night. I've owned two prior systems from another company and I will never go back after seeing the Night Owl perform.

Last Year, I used to complain a lot about this wireless system. I understood it was a new product. I knew that as with any new product, it may bring many bugs and issues. I still own the product, and I have witnessed all the improvements Night Owl has made to it.
Today, I am glad to share how well my cameras perform after the great firmware updates Night Owl is constantly releasing, and the quality, clarity, and excellent performance this product offers. I recommend this system, and I look forward to the products Night Owl will have in the future.
