I’ve always used symmetry, but wanted to feel my phone was more protected. Commuter gets you that protection and at the same time is not as big as the defender series

Feels like it slips from your hand.

It doesn’t feel good in the hand. If you are holding the phone with one hand, it will slip away. The back is not like the defender. It doesn’t have any grip at all. Yes it looks like it will protect the phone but feels like it slips on my hand. I am considering returning this case.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This case provides full coverage and the drop protection you’d expect from OtterBox, but my only problem is the design of the sides. This case design hasn’t changed very much in about a decade and the sides do not fit snug enough to keep dust and debris from getting into the case from the sides near the volume buttons and the other side.
Why not add a clip of hard plastic on both sides to keep it snug? Other than that, great case. Just be prepared to remove your phone every week or so to clean out all the gunk. Also wish the speaker and microphone sections were precision cut instead of a big cut out, that gets dust and debris easily as well.

Great except MagSafe

I’ve used this same series for years now. Love it. Still do. However I may have to give it up. I was using another brand and a charger in my vehicle. Mag worked great. Got the otter box today and well it doesn’t stay stuck. I got a charger with known decent magnets. Which they worked really well on the other case.

Although the case does feel like a quality product, I feel like it was too expensive. There are definitely cheaper alternatives that offer the same quality and value less money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This it the fifth Otter Box commuter case that I’ve gotten. Absolutely fantastic. I prefer them thicker because I am rough with my cell phones. I carry a work phone and a personal phone and they both use the same commuter series case.
I like them because even when the case gets worn or cracked, they continue to provide outstanding protection. I have not cracked a single glass since using them and I usually drop my phone from waist height every few weeks.
The two-piece construction is a flexible rubber layer nested in a durable plastic shell. I like being able to remove the case in pieces. I find it takes less force to remove and put on than the single piece cases.
I’ve had a good experience with otter boxes and will continue to get them. Even my wife knows they make the durability I look for. A value, even at retail price.
I would recommend this to a friend!
