Frustrating

I may reconsider my rating after I’m actually able to use this product. It arrived without a power cord. While I understand it’s supposed to work via the USB port, it’s not functioning for me.
The idea that I might need to purchase an entirely new computer just to use a scanner is absolutely ridiculous. To make matters worse, now it seems I’ll need to spend even more money just to get this scanner operational, which is incredibly frustrating.
I’ve always trusted Brother products in the past and have had great experiences with their equipment. However, this situation has been a disappointment. It’s making me question the quality and reliability of the brand moving forward.

Great product in a small package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very small footprint with this scanner. In fact, it is easy to disconnect (single usb-c cable) and store in a drawer or on a shelf when not being used. Setup is a breeze and the product was easy to register and download all drivers and software needed. Can load multiple pages in the feeder and there is an option to scan a card like a drivers license or insurance card. The scanning is very quick compared to larger flatbed scanners. The clarity is identical to the original. Also very quiet.

Great scanner for size

I was very surprised with how great this item is with its size. It’s compact but it is quick, efficient and the quality of the scanned items are crystal clear. It doesn’t take extra long due to the small size which I really appreciate. It is portable so I can travel which is great.
I will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

Easy to use and good quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting to do a project with images for a while now and I was excited to finally try it out with this scanner. Quality isn’t 100% but pretty darn close! This thing was easy to setup and worked really fast and efficiently. This scanner is also small and easy to take apart and move around. Overall, very happy with it!

Power cord should be INCLUDED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brother ADS1300 would not work out of the box primarily because of the power cable not being packaged with the machine. It only came with a USB-C to USB-C cable which is still lot enough to power it. The flashing lights on the machine indicate not enough power being put to the scanner (as per the instruction manual) with it needing no less than 15v. However, the standard power from a USB port is 5v. Without the power cable being included with the machine it will not function unless you have much higher power output from a usb port, which is highly unlikely.
