New Frigidaire French door fridge

Design flaw. Doors can appear shut but still be open so fridge shuts off with "door open" message. The little flap in the middle must be positioned correctly to shut doors. Doors WILL shut without that middle bar positioned correctly.

Very SLOPPY engineering that the doors will appear perfectly closed with the little flap in the wrong position.

What a great upgrade from our old frigidaire appliance!

The space assigned for the fridge was very limited and it was hard to find a French-door fridge for the size and the price we wanted. After careful consideration, we found this to be better than the LG and Samsung. We are ecstatic!

Never buy Fridgedaire

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator, I’m convinced will continue to break down. It’s a lemon. It needs to be replaced but no one will listen. Of course after the warranty expires it will totally be my responsibility. No wonder they always push for extended warranty. If your product were good it wouldn’t need an extended warranty. My old fridge was over 20 years old and just started having issues

Great Fridge, Needs Tweaking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really nice refrigerator, but it needs a couple of minor tweaks that would make it an amazing refrigerator.
The shelf levels are at awkward levels - you can’t have a normal carton of milk on the bottom shelf if you want the shelves spaced out normally. So then you have a really tight shelf that fits nothing taller than an egg so that you can fit milk or standard beer bottles on the lower shelf.
The left door latch(?) catches sometimes so that it keeps you from closing it properly. The fridge will start dinging when this happens because the refrigerator door isn’t actually closed.

Great Fridge That Could Use Some Adjustments

It is much more spacious than expected. We have a tight, narrow NYC kitchen and this fridge fits perfectly within it. The shelves and drawers are deceivingly deep, which I love.
Cons: The blue tape that held together the freezer drawers upon arrival was almost impossible to get off. It all tore apart and had to be scraped off. The door latch keeps flipping out so that the door will not shut properly without some prodding. The shelving options in the fridge is bizarre. The second shelf is either so close to the top shelf that we can't even reach our hand to the back of the shelf (we're storing eggs and items in bags that can be flattened) or if dropped down to the next notch won't allow normal sized beverage containers like milk, juice, or even beer/soda bottles be on the bottom shelf. We keep a lot of beverages in our fridge so we can't rely solely on the door bins. The ice maker drawer takes up a lot of space. We do not have the fridge hooked up to our water line so we are using the drawer for other freezer storage, but even if hooked up to the water line I wouldn't want to give up that much space in such a small freezer.
That being said, I'm really enjoying the fridge. It's sleek and the perfect size for our small kitchen. Love the height and depth, love the filters in the back of the fridge and the crisper drawers. I also love how discreet the water dispenser is and hope to one day have it hooked up to a water line.
