The right-bottom corner gets a lot hotter than the rest of the griddle which can be managed; however, it is something that could have easily been corrected by a company that has been making barbecues for a long time. Because it is a two-burner system there are double the openings in the right-hand corner which seems to provide twice as much flame on that side. If one burner tube did not have the holes drilled in that corner, it may correct the problem. It works fine and we are pleased with this griddle, it is sturdy and looks nice; you just have to adjust the temperature on the right side.
reason is because the surface is far from even heat as stated. Top left corner is colder and lower right is awfully hot. It stated on the box surface as a even heat. Far from true. There is a place that the paint is flacking. All legs decoration where loose the 2 screw on each leg had to be retightened. I use NG at home I wish it come with a retrofit jets.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent griddle. We really enjoy cooking on it and would give 5 stars but the heat distribution is not even. However, once you learn where hot and cooler regions are it is not that big an issue.

I bought this last month along with a new genesis grill. I was really wanting a griddle but had never cooked on one and did not one to go all in on a much bigger griddle that would serve more as a grill replacement. The cooking surface is large, I can do about 6 smash burgers without a space issue, I’ve done 14 strips of bacon, cooked our family of 4 pancakes while I took care of the morning watering. While it is not a problem for me, I would not consider this a travel griddle. Can I pick it up and move it? Yes. Easily, not as easy as I thought. It’s bigger than anticipated but I’m fine with that. I love this griddle and recommend it to everyone as it has opened up different ways and opportunities to be cooking outside and for that, I’m a big fan. Overall quality: seems solid, the lid is flimsy but it’s meant to cover and not to cook so it’s not a concern.
This griddle is the most non-stick and easy to season surface I've ever used! It's well built and solid. Also, it doesn't get ridiculously hot around the sides. As some have mentioned there are spots (I've only found two small ones) where the temp is different. That's actually amazing b/c a perfectly even surface is nearly impossible to accomplish. So, this is excellent!
People expecting a 22" griddle that fits in their pocket are ridiculous. There's no physical way to have a 22" griddle unit that's going to be as light and compact as a 17". It's perfect for our camper and prepared enough burgers to feed 7 hungry people in one cooking! 3 of us had doubles.
If going back in time to when I purchased it....I'd purchase it again!
I am new to griddle cooking, but so far so good !, the Weber Traveler works great and is easy to clean, bought it for home and the RV so it's the perfect size for us
Weber Traveler 22 is living to all of my expectations as a Weber product. Very nice build. Easy to use. Portable, but heavier than expected, but that’s a good thing. And lastly, the taste of food cooked is amazing.
Recently got the 36” slate, amazing griddle, so didn’t think twice about the traveler for camping trips. Unboxed It, it looked great, It’s heavy, no scratches or dents from shipping, It feels great. The quality is the same as on the large one. So I was really happy with it, initially. I attached the propane. I fired it up and started seasoning it I noticed at the bottom right by the ignition knobs was getting hot, hotter than the rest of the flat top. And it kept getting hot. It is a terrible hotspot right by the knobs and if you turn down that area, the rest of that zone will come down too. Took it camping and on long cooks that hot spot gets even hotter. For the price I paid for the 22” traveler I am really really disappointed. That hot spot is terrible and brought what could’ve been a 5 star product Down to 3. I’m looking to sell it now and recoup some Of my money. Don’t recommend the 22” traveler
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
