Buyer beware, doesn't fit the most recent slate!

I purchased this cover and it's obvious there are probably 2 different versions with the same model number. The cover that I have doesn't fit the 36" slate. If I close one of the side tables I can sorta get the cover on but i's really stretched and doesn't go down to the bottom of the griddle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not fit newest 36" slate griddle

I purchased this cover with the 36" slate grill. Everything is great, except the cover does not fit. After folding a table which i should not have to do, it still wont go all the way and i can see the material ripping soon on the corners of the folded tray. Apparently this is a problem, because I'm seeing reviews stating the same thing.

I purchased this to go along with my 36" Slate Griddle. In no way does it fit. I checked on the website for the correct model number. This does not fit.

36” Slate Griddle Cover Doesn’t fit. How do I get the right one? I think Home Depot offers the wrong cover on there website.

This cover does fit the 36” Slate perfectly, however, it is not as heavy duty as it should be. After going through a South Florida rainy season, the cover lost its waterproof protection. While covered, the grill still got wet. Being wet under the cover in hot weather led to “things” growing on the grill. Bought a no-name cover online to replace. Fit is not as good as the Weber cover but it is much more heavy duty and less than half the price. Weber - I’m sure you can do better.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the disappointment with your griddle cover. Our covers are designed to allow moisture through, so it can evaporate away from the grill. In humid environments, we recommend only covering the grill during inclement weather.

Spent $900 on the Slate then ANOTHER $110 on the cover that DOES NOT fit?! Come on Weber!!! You have to do better!!!

Love how it cleans up and there is never no rust. The grand kids are amazed at how fast their breakfast is made since papa can cook it all at one time. Bacon is so crispy.
