Being a new solo RV full timer, I researched extensively for the right grill. I opted for Weber but was hesitant between 2 Traveler models: the regular and the Compact. I visited a local store to compare and that convinced me for the Compact and I don't regret it at all. Just the perfect size and weight. Top quality. Easy to use and fold. Great portability and cooks like a champ. Just love it.
The small size and simple use is great for me. It's easy to control the temperature and when I need to put it in the garage during the heat of summer when it's too hard to cook out, it's so easy to move.
It’s great price. it is everything it says it is easy to set up. And to take down. The only draw back I see is trying to screw on the little propane can that is positioned under it.
I used this multiple times for camping and for backyard cookouts. Showed a few friends and they are amaze how small it is when throwing it into my sedan’s trunk.
I bought the smaller version of the Traveler, and it folds up so well to store underneath my RV! The griddle accessory for the full-size Traveler also fits my compact Traveler. I was able to easily disassemble the regulator and purchase a natural gas quick release hose to attach to my RV. I love this grill!
The hydraulic shock on the lift mechanism bent the shaft and broke off of the frame. Very cheaply made. Disappointed in quality of materials.

Awful grill

We bought this grill expecting Weber quality. It has been a problem in less than a year. First, the grill holes are so easily covered by drippings because there’s nothing protecting them from the cooking. Then the grill doesn’t light. Second, the black paint on the inside of the lid has completely flaked off getting onto food. Truly unbelievable how poorly made this is. I strongly recommend that you do not buy this grill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback and for choosing a Weber grill. We apologize for the frustration with the grease management system. We recommend cleaning the burners with a stainless steel grill brush to remove excess buildup.
The material inside the lid is not paint; it is a natural byproduct of grilling called carbonized grease. This can be cleaned off easily and it is not dangerous or toxic.
