After my last barbecue had rusted out (not a Weber) I debated for quite a while on what I should get next. I looked at a lot of different options and after talking to friends and watching numerous videos I decided on an outdoor griddle. I looked at a lot of them and when I compared the Weber Slate to the competitors the slate won on pretty well all categories. Much more solid construction. Exceptionally smooth griddle surface. The
griddle steel seems much thicker. The steel handle on the lid and the overall construction of it is excellent. I found it very easy to assemble and had it turned on and running less than an hour after opening the box. Also, the packing of the parts in the box was incredible. I have never seen an item like this so well and perfectly packed.
So far I have done a number of breakfasts, smash burgers, chicken hibachi and chicken and veggie wraps and the most amazing rib steak. Everything has turned
out excellent. My daughter and her family come every Sunday for brunch and the first time I did pancakes she said “Dad your pancakes were always the best but these are next level”. 😋
Living in Canada I’m interested to see how it does in the winter but for now I’m very happy with this purchase and look forward to many years of fun, family meals!! Thanks Weber!

Easy(ish) to put together. Easy instructions for prepping the surface and seasoning. It gets incredibly hot. Clocked it at over 600° after 15 min preheat. Adjust accordingly. Now that it’s summer, I use it for most of my cooking. From flatbreads and pancakes to sticky chicken and ribs. Hot water and a long scraper to clean and a slight, very light coating of oil afterwards keeps it beautiful.

Disappointing top!

I have had this griddle for almost a year. All around I’d say it performs well, however the top flexes on it every time I use it making it very hard to use. I have had quite a few different griddles and never had this issue. All in all I’d say it’s pretty disappointing, and I would not recommend.

I received this griddle in February 2026 and prepared a number of different meals. What I like most about my 30" griddle is the enlarged surface area for cooking.

Really enjoy cooking with all my Weber grills such as the 22 in 26 in and my WSM. But the 30 in Weber Slate griddle is becoming my favorite so quick and easy whether making breakfast or lunch. Still going to show my other Weber grills lots of love, but this griddle is in my opinion a must have.
