This is an awesome add-on for the slate griddle that stay in place and just moves up and down out of the way to keep your food warm you can still close the lid while it’s attached

Having a standalone griddle means you need a warming rack. This version is the best because it offers two levels and is seamlessly integrated into the griddle so you don't remove it after the cook. Great for toasting breads or just keeping bacon warm while other parts of the meal are on the griddle.
