I bought this grill over 10 years ago for my deck because I don't like the bulk of a larger grill and am not a big meat eater, so this works perfectly for me. It is still working like new. I did buy a new igniter and a new grate a couple years ago, but that's it. It's been so convenient to move around and put away for the winter months. I like the new colors and thought about buying a new one, but this one works perfectly so why spend the money. I did pressure wash the legs and the stand because it was getting green stains but it looks great now. Highly recommend.

Looks great, well built. Unfortunately, its the worst weber Ive ever used. Good luck getting anything to cook evenly as the temps vary wildly all over the cooking surface.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a great small grill. Easy to transport and big enough to cook for a family of four or five while comping. It cooks evenly and the temperature is easy to control. Weber is known for their good support and that parts are available if something needs replacement. Most of the time you will not need the parts as the equipment is well engineered, sturdy and durable.

Not Portable - Can't use 1 lb cans

I assumed the Q series were all built for backyard and portable uses. I had a Q1200 years ago, but wanted something bigger for camping/beach trips. I jumped at buying this Q2800N+ because of the larger size and extra burner. BUT I did not realize this is not compatible with the 1 lb gas cans, until I received it and opened the box. Weber should include more photos showing the gas connection and HIGHLIGHT that it is not able to use the small cans. I don't want to haul around a large gas tank for a day or weekend trip. Guess it is better for long term trips where you have room for a large tank.
I now notice the answer is buried in the FAQs, but it needs to be upfront. I watched and read plenty reviews but never heard this mentioned.
I really wanted to keep it, but I have plenty Weber patio grills. I needed a portable option. It is being returned.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall pretty happy with this grill. We replaced a Q2200 with this Q2800N+.
Pros - Heat control seems to be improved. Larger cooking surface with only a slight increase in overall size. Second burner offers additional temperature control.
Cons - Will not reach advertised max temperature on a slightly windy day. For a portable grill the grease tray should be secured. Traveling with this grill in the bed of a truck, the grease tray will blow out. This required adding wire ties to hold the grease tray in. Plastic clip on side shelves are flimsy and do not match the price of the grill.
Overall ok, but disappointed in the grease tray and side shelves.

Bought a month or so ago with stand. Stand was a little confusing for the average person to assemble. I like the grill for its quality and cook ability. I am, however disappointed in the temperature range. It does a great job with even heat distribution on the plates and is large enough for roasting,etc.. The problem is, however, at the lowest setting it maintains a temperature of 350 degrees. This makes it impossible to use the “low and slow” method of cooking items such as ribs, pulled pork, etc., which is something I so frequently! At this price, I find this to be a problem. I am a 25yr experienced kitchen mgr! Also, the rotisserie add-on is far too expensive for the limited use it would get! If it weren’t so cumbersome to prepare for returning for refund, I would probably do so.
This grill is terrific. I’ve owned several Weber Grills including a couple Q grills. The turbo feature on this grill ramps the temperature up fast and lets you sear meat/steaks.
I haven't gad a chance to use this grill yet but its built solid. Very little assembly from box. This BBQ is also very slick looking. Heavy duty cast iron cooking grates.
