No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a really nice grill. It’s very high quality. Easy to use and live with. Compact and easy to store and move around with casters on all 4 legs. I recommend buying it with the stand. I mainly cook steaks and burgers. The HEAVY cast iron grates make beautiful seer marks. It’s also very fuel efficient. I’m so happy I didn’t buy a larger grill. It’s perfect!
My grill and stand came in the same box which was heavy enough I had to wrestle it to an area where I could unpack it. The stand required assembly which took me several hours. The instructions were drawings. Most parts were marked to coincide with the drawings. The grill required simple assembly.
My grill has a temperature range of 300°F to 650° or 700°. Keeping a constant temperature is pretty easy.
Tha two included grates each cover half the cooking area. Weber sells griddles that fit half the cooking area. I bought one and am satisfied with it.
The grill does not have flavorizer bars above the gas tubes. So grease can drip on the tubes, but most seems to burn off. The cooking box is pretty easy to clean with paper towels and appropriate household cleaner.
Great grill. Heats up fast, uses little fuel and reaches high temps. The only negative is that the burners are the typical horse shoe shape which leaves a dead zone in the middle unless the middle burner is turned on. It’s still one of the best bbqs I have purchased and it doesn’t take up a ton of space.
