I received the Lego Star Wars TIE Fighter & X-wing Mash-up (75393) for my independent and honest review.
My 11 year old son loved building this set. He finished building it in about 4 hours, and every moment, he was glued to the project instead of anything else. It was great seeing him so involved.
He loved the building process and the final results. He liked how realistic the design and colors looked to the box and what they appear to be in the movie. He likes the ability to switch wings! Switching them up not only made them more realistic to play with, but it makes the set very easy to store if you’re ever traveling. You can just take the wings off thus smaller for storing or putting away. The wings are not loose when on- the whole build feels very secure. He states that the only thing he doesn't like is that the character only fits a certain way in the TIE Fighter cab. He wanted the cabin area to be bigger so the character could stand or move in other positions.
All in all, I'd say it’s a wonderful set — it’s great they come together in this package. 100% recommend this set for anyone who's a Lego or Star Wars fanatic!

I’ve built a ton of the x wing and tie fighter sets. My kiddo is super into Star Wars.
So I wasnt expecting to be very excited with this build.
However, I was pleasantly surprised!

There were some new build design mechanics, part utilizations etc.
so while it felt exactly like building an x wing and tie fighter, there was enough difference in design to keep it interesting.
I would recommend this to a friend!
