Where's Robin + QA Issues

I got this as a surprise present this year and after looking it over, my primary question was "Where the heck is Robin?". As a display item, it doesn't reflect the 60's Batman TV show, as all the classic images of the Batmobile have Robin in the passenger seat. I guess the designers at LEGO never watched the show.
To release an iconic 60's set like this without the show's iconic side passenger is nuts, and it also shows you how penny-pinching LEGO is becoming. I guess the cost-savings in leaving out Robin got their executives a nice year-end bonus.
That brings me to my second complaint, that the quality control is dropping. The brick color and texture is pretty low-end on many of the black ones, with some looking dark grey while others are milky. As a display item, the colour is not consistent and it looks more like something you bought off AE. I will be very careful getting anything LEGO-related in the future, especially sets with a majority of dark bricks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
