My husband got me this for my bday. I was so excited as it was in my cart. I’m a huge Batman collector so getting this made me so happy. I have the miniature version of this car as well. Great build and easy to assemble.

Great build but missing something…

This set looks fantastic and my favorite Batmobile. However, how could they not include Robin?? The only Batmobile with 2 seats and no Robin? The other Batman sets came with 3 figures. I feel like it was a huge oversight to not include Batman’s passenger…

I found the little stickers to be annoying. And I can’t quite get the alignment of the front parts to match the photos. The overall appearance is quite nice and the attention to details on the interior was nice.

I absolutely love this set. I have the 89 batmobile as well as the tumbler. This is a great addition to my collection. Hope they keep bringing these kinds of sets out. Maybe a knight rider or a team van would be sweet.

This was such a fun set to build. I have so many wonderful memories of the car when watching the show, and this set did not disappoint.

Even better, with a couple small modifications

I really like this set. It was fun to build and looks great on display.
I did make a few, slight modification that, I think, make it look even better: I removed some of the gray trim around the canopies and replaced some of the flat, gray plates with black plates. I also lowered the stance slightly, by removing the axles and letting the body rest directly on the tires (it’s actually very sturdy, even with the wheels detached).
Have fun!

The techniques in this build are incredible. The curves of this car are beautiful and I can’t believe someone figured out how to do them all! It looks so good!

So Disappointed

I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed in a set I’ve purchased, so much so I wish I hadn’t brought it home. First, the stickers - 38 of them, to be exact. And they are tiny labels on tiny pieces and for someone who likes everything to be even, it was arduous. As in NO FUN.
Second, I love things that “work.” I enjoyed building the red farm truck and was so happy with the fact that the doors work, the steering wheel controls the front axle, the hood opens to reveal a very spiffy engine. It’s playable beyond the build.
This Batmobile however? Nah. First off, the build is rather boring - so many instances of “make 2” or “make 4.” Yawn - didn’t have to look at the instructions half the time. The steering wheel is just positioned onto a stickered console (and falls off easily), a small section of the trunk and hood open, and for something that was supposedly a careful replica, there are no working doors. Some of the later batmobiles didn’t have doors, I guess, but I’d read that this version did.
Anyway, it should work. It just should. I went from excited to “bleh.” And just wanted to get it done.
It is basically a heavy replica model. Just not impressed. Could have been excellent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
