Epic! Love the design! Need Yoshi next! Several moving parts, but not that complicated. It's weird that I have a Lego that moves, that's not on wheels- best selling point!
This was a really fun build! I finished it faster than I thought I would because I was so excited to see the end product. I love all the moving parts. I just wish it would have had a sound bit.
This was a fun build and the finished product is amazing for all of us that grew up playing SMW. The movements are very well thought out and add to this build even more.
If Lego makes more sets in this style, that is SNES sprites but with characters other than Mario, watch me throw my wallet at this company. It’s so charming, looks great next to my Nintendo game collection & it wasn’t an all-day build (which I don’t mind but sometimes I like builds that only take an hour & change). Overall, VERY pleased with this purchase.
As an "adult" who grew up strongly attached to both Video Games and Lego, the Super Mario World line of Lego sets combines two very important aspects of my childhood into one very rewarding experience. This set is satisfying to build in terms of technicality, functionality, and aesthetics. My building experience with this set was filled with moments of nostalgia reaching back to when I first played the video game which paired well with moments of awe as to how the set functions and articulates. Personally, I find the play aspects of sets like these to be a neat gimmick that are only interesting while building the set. However, whenever I walk by this set I can't help but interact with it due to how simple it is to do so.
