First Big Lego Set was AMAZING!

So bought this set for myself as I had an open Friday night and am a huge Mario fan and my daughter and I had just gotten into LEGO and I have yet to build something that made as happy as this set made me. The way things went together, how it all came together was just an awesome experience for someone who just has gotten into building and now I'm buying sets where I find good deals and LEGO can thank this set for a new builder!

I absolutely loved building this set! Every bag brought back some quirky Super Mario-related memory. I played the soundtrack from the game building it (and other Nintendo Music) and it was wonderful.

This is hands down my favorite set I built and my favorite in my collection. It sits, with pride, right with my Nintendo Game Collection. It is an absolute art piece and so fascinating to put together. 10/10 would build again.

My 13 Year Old Loved This Build

My 13 year old son took a total of 5 hours to complete the build. He said the book was easy to follow, and everything came together flawlessly. This is the first 1000+pc build for him but he had a blast.

Controls are poorly placed

It looks nice and it takes a decent amount of time to build, but once it’s done then you realize the the knob to control Yoshi’s mouth is on the back of the set
So you can’t reach it without having the set behind you or having your hand at an angle while trying to see it work
The space for Lego Mario is also barely big enough for him to the point where Mario will fall over if you’re not holding him there
