Water tastes nasty. Filter lasted one week before water tasted fishy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. Some of our customers have used other, traditional filtration systems to treat the water prior to filtering through a Zero Water filter, in many cases that will cut the TDS level down enough to make the use of Zero Water more economical.
There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short.

In order to avoid a change in the taste of the water it is important to test the water regularly and change the filter when the digital meter reads 006.

Didn’t work for me

I’m disappointed in this. I’ve been a loyal customer for almost 3 years. Had the original pitcher and decided to replace it with this. It’s cumbersome and the reader does not fit at all. It’s harder to fill and doesn’t buy me enough time to compensate for the difficulty it takes to refill. A miss for me. Sorry.

Favorite Filter Hands Down!

I own 3 other Zero Water filters but this one is by far my favorite. Some simple changes like where to keep the meter and even the sliding option for the overall container make it so much easier to use. I've even had friends that come over ask what this is because it's so different and unique. Can't recommend enough!

Does not work for me

Doesn’t seem to fit my needs for the water problems I have. TDS meter shows 10 upon using for the first time after filling up the container with my tap water through the filter as described in instructions. Instructions say if over 6 to replace filter. I feel I am better buying fully filtered water for my needs as it might be more severe than this filter can handle. Quality of product and instructions are good.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. The most accurate way to get reading is to test the water directly inside the pitcher. You can do this by removing the reservoir from the pitcher and sticking the meter in the filtered water sitting in the pitcher. If you get a 000 reading inside the pitcher it is possible that the cup or glass you were using before had soap residue on it causing the meter to read above 000.
If you are not getting 000 in the pitcher, try the following steps to see if you can get the filter to read 000 on the meter.

Dry off the filter with a clean paper towel. Then place the filter over a clean paper cup.

Run a small amount of water directly into the filter and test the water that collects into the cup. If the meter does not read 000 it is possible that unfiltered water got into the pitcher via a leak at the O-ring. In order for filtered water to read correctly there must be a perfect seal where the filter is screwed into the reservoir. Make sure the filter is screwed in from the bottom not dropped in from the top.

Solid water filtration
on June 9, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Clean and safe drinking water is essential for our well-being, and a reliable water filtration system is an excellent investment to ensure the purity of the water we consume. After extensive research and personal use, I am excited to share my review of a water filtration system that has exceeded my expectations in terms of effectiveness, convenience, and overall performance.
Filtration Efficiency:
The primary function of any water filtration system is to remove impurities and contaminants from the water. This system utilizes advanced filtration technologies, such as activated carbon filters, reverse osmosis, or a combination of both. The result is water that is free from chlorine, sediment, heavy metals, bacteria, and other harmful substances. The filtration process effectively improves the taste, odor, and clarity of the water, providing a refreshing and clean drinking experience.

Water Taste Questionable

ZeroWater's Ion-exchange resin filters are a reliable and efficient way to get delicious, filtered water. They work by exchanging ions in the water with regenerated ions from the resin beds, which can remove a variety of contaminants from water, including lead, nitrates, sulfates, calcium, magnesium, and other heavy metals. The exchanged ions bind with the contaminants, making them much easier to filter out. Our combination of cation and anion exchange resins can reduce 99.6% of dissolved contaminants in your water. However, when the filter is exhausted no more contaminants can be filtered out and an unpleasant smell and taste may be present. This is a common cause of overuse and can also occur by pouring hot water into the filter or freezing it. Be aware, though, that while the smell is unpleasant, it does not indicate any harm or danger. It is only time to replace your filter. Change your filter once the TDS meter reads 006.
