Noisy...wouldn't recommend

Outside design is very sleek and modern, though markings for ice, water, etc. are so sleek and light they're a bit hard to read. Inside lighting is nice and bright. Water fill is slow even with new filter and drips a bit at the end (which GE says is normal).
Capacity is an issue, especially in the side doors. Can't fit a wine bottle upright. Bins on left door are super narrow and most jelly jars don't fit. Retractable shelf is handy, but feels very flimsy, so we're careful not to put anything too heavy. Veggie/cold cuts bins are fine and have a helpful divider.
Biggest issue: It's oddly noisy! It makes a low hum. It makes a grinding sound when circulating air. I've never experienced this with any other fridge. GE says it's normal.
Bottom line: if I had more time to shop and a higher budget, I would not buy this model again. I'm hoping that it will last without too many issues, since several appliance service folks recommended GE over other brands. We'll see.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall, I like it. Cools well and ample space in the fridge portion. Was nervous about the noise after reading the reviews, but mine is pretty quiet. Deducting a star because it just doesn't feel sturdy to me. For the price, I would like it to feel solid. The freezer door in particular is super light weight and the inside drawers are wobbly and just totally cheap. Beautiful fridge, but my last fridge lasted 20 years. I’m hopeful that this fridge lasts that long, but the lack of solidness I feel from this fridge makes me have my doubts - which is unfortunate.
