Major let-down

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were excited to replace our 1980s dishwasher and were impressed by the reviews for this Frigidaire one, but we wish we had kept our old dishwasher. Despite a full 157 minutes of washing, there are at least 3 dishes every cycle that come out still dirty. There is frequently grease left on dishes from greasy foods, there is a dead spot in the back left corner, and detergent residue is left on everything after every wash. You can even see the residue on the bottom of the door after the small amount of "clean" water dries when you open the door after a wash. The silverware basket is cheap, and has large holes in the sides that make it very difficulty to throw silverware in quickly without it falling out onto the floor. We wanted a third rack to wash large kitchen utensils, but we have to rinse everything well if it goes on the top rack or it won't get clean. Our hope was to save water and save energy with this machine. We are using more water to rinse the dishes BEFORE the wash than we ever used before. I wish we had kept our vintage machine.

Very Quiet, Doesn't Dry

After two weeks with the new unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New dishwasher is great, large, very quite. Only issue for me is the cycle time 2-3 hours. In checking with freinds that seems to be normal for newer units. Cycle times on the old diswasher we replaced (20+ years old) were in the 1 hour range. Other than that (which is an easy work around) its been great.

Racks do not slide easy
