Replacing a 2000 kenmore

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After lasting 25 years without a problem my old kenmore finally bit the dust. At the recommendation of my appliance repairman I chose a Frigidaire to replace it. He advised that I needed to choose a stainless steel tub and then one with assisted wash arms. This model fit those specifications and the price was very good. However I was disappointed that new washers no longer have a heated dry cycle and my dishes even the glass ones do not come out even close to dry. It also takes at least twice as long to run the wash cycle than the kenmore did so I really don’t see how that is more energy efficient. It does make everything very clean but not dry like I had hoped. It also was not available in the tbisque color matching my old appliances so I’m having to get used to the stainless steel exterior. It does have the third rack which expands your silverware capabilities but those items come out really wet but very clean. Would i buy it again? I would but I’d rather have my old kenmore back again.

It's a good dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this one to replace an old dishwasher (looked like it was from the 80's). My dad was able to install it in a few hours (I had to run to the hardware store a few times). It looks nice and I really like the ease of accessing the filter. I have really hard water so I need to scrub the filter every other week or so. I do sometimes have trouble with getting it started since the buttons has less tactile feedback than I prefer, but I will get used to it eventually.

GARBAGE

Don’t buy this GARBAGE. Lasted less than 2 years, and this company won’t even warranty the part for me to fix the unit. Buy Samsung, LG, ANY OTHER BRAND! We have to troubleshoot/diagnose the problem, then they want to sell us a part with a 20% discount… then we have to figure out how to replace the part. Spend your $ somewhere else. Frigidaire will sell you a product they won’t stand behind.

Frigidaire 24" dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the dishwasher for about 2 months, it's perfect. I like all the different washing cycles you have to choose, I normally wash on energy saver cycle and everything comes out clean. Very much like the upper 3rd tray for the longer utensils. Stacking dishes: finally a dishwasher I can put my large soup dish in the lower rack and it stays in place, Upper rack has wide space for any larger glasses or mugs. Did I mention it is quite, no loud clunks in cycles. I guess the only somewhat negative I have is, the start and cancel function buttons do require a hard press, I understand that so you don't accidentally turn it on. All other function buttons are a touch tap. Very nice dishwasher, definitely recommend.
