Error when installed

A little light missing

Purchase in August, fairly easy install for my do it yourself husband..To my disappointment there is not an indictator light shining toward floor to let you know when the dishwasher is finished. Because it's an undercounter install the light across the interior door panel is only visiable when i bend over to look under the counter to see if white light is on. At start all lights for chosen cycles are on when cycle is finished just the start light is on, when you open the door it says end. 2 of my children have older Frigidaire models that indicate with a blue light directed at the floor which is very easy to see. Why is this feature not there for an undercounter model and can I purchase a kit for that purpose. Said yes I would recommend but the absence of this little visable indicator light is a big deal for me.
