Nice unit, but limitations, too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shines the dishes well, even when using 'Energy Saver' setting. I gave a 4, tho, because the racks are too specific and not really geared for much more than flat plates & flatware! Still learning, but wish within Energy Saving were 3 settings for less time for cleaner plates to start with. 85 minutes should be way more that I need. Also, when over, 'END' stays lit forever unless I open the door... it should go off when safe to open door after heat has worked. Mike

2nd Time Around

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The title is because the 1st dishwasher that was delivered appeared to have been dropped during manufacture. It had myriad problems, so the store immediately ordered a replacement.
I was fortunate to have the same installer for the 2nd machine and it went in much easier than the 1st (could be due to a large dent in the upper back).
This machine, after several washes, seems to be functioning properly. It does not fully dry all the dishes, but a quick wipe with a towel solves that issue.
I do have a question on the rinse aid system. Page 14 states that there should be enough aid for 11 to 66 washes, depending on the setting. The 1st washer emptied the dispenser after the 3rd wash; knew they must be some problem. The 2nd is still going after the 4th wash. The question comes in from the information in the manual on page 14, that tells one how to adjust the dosage. I was curious about this due to how fast the 1st machine emptied the container. The instructions provided for doing the adjustment, however, do not work with this machine; that or we have yet another defective machine. Working according to the provided instruction do NOTHING. No status, no means of adjustment, NOTHING. I would appreciate advice on this, please.
I have elected to use only the cutlery tray for silverware as the basket is clumsy, leaves everything wet, and is mostly in the way of the dishes on the bottom rack. All the racks on the 2nd machine are usable where on top, cutlery tray on the 1st could not be extended more than 3 inches, the spray arm having dropped down when the machine was dropped in the factory.

The statement, in the factory, is made because it appeared to both the installer and myself the damage had occurred prior to the placement of the protective plastic on the door. The door had three dents, the plastic showed no damage.

Decent Dishwasher
