Awful Screen, Otherwise Good

I bought this monitor because the Samsung website says it has a 178-degree viewing angle. The real number is about 60. Sitting in front of the center, the screen looks okay after tweaking the controls but when you stand up or move a little to the side the colors wash out. Who would want a monitor like this? It has picture by picture but you cannot use it with two HDMI inputs; one must be wireless. I cannot figure out how to use picture in picture because the user manual does not cover it. It lacks upconversion like all televisions have.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great smart TV & Monitor!

Used primarily for work but when the living room TV is in use and I need another TV to watch my shows I use the M7 as it also a smart TV. Only issue is if you hav another Samsung TV in the same room as the M7, the TV remote will turn on or off the monitor as the TV remote activates both smart monitor and smart TV. It's a little annoying and I hope Samsung updates the M7 somehow to only react to the M7 remote and not standard Samsung TV remote.

I see you clearly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old monitor wasn't durable. It was hard to see due to the static look. I saw this monitor at a friend's house and the picture was phenomenal. I could see the leaves on the trees, not only could I see the flowers but the zooming in feature was at remarkable I could see the flower pedal as well. I would love to have this monitor. I fell in love with the fact I could switch from a movie to looking outside my door just the push of a bottom. If you need any kind of help is just a push of a button. The a.i feature is outstanding you can by pass customer service to get assistance. I take care of my mother anytime there's a problem I can look at my monitor to see if she is okay.. I would love to have this monitor Samsung has always been my choice when it comes up electronic. Having this monitor would help me not only making sure I can see clearly of the areas I want to view but as well as watching movies or tv with outstanding megapixel quality.. I can't show a picture bc I don't have this monitor hopefully if I win the sweepstakes it will be used to get this monitor, a watch, ear buds as well as the newest galaxy photo

Too smart, doesn't let mouse through

I wanted to use this as an external monitor for my chromebook. I bought this particular one because it had USB A ports, and I *assumed* that meant it was a USB hub. But no, it intercepts the mouse and won't let the connected chromebook see it. For some reason it lets the keyboard through, though.
Samsung says that if you want the mouse to get through, you have to install an MSI file. Well, I'm on a chromebook (or a linux box) so that does not work. Come on, people! Not everybody is running windows!
I am NOT happy about this.
Otherwise, it seems to work ok as a monitor, but if I'd known this, I definitely would have bought something else. The chance that I'll use the streaming stuff in the monitor is vanishingly small; I really just wanted a computer monitor and I thought, what the heck, why not add the other stuff on the off chance that I might want it? But the other stuff makes it less useful as a monitor, darn it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
