[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this is a good monitor. My biggest complaint are the trim pieces on the back you must remove to install on a versa mount. I wasn't able to reinstall them. But operationally its acceptable and has a good picture.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who plays a mix of competitive shooters and casual games, the Samsung Odyssey G30D (24") has completely changed my daily gaming experience. Coming from a basic 60Hz monitor, the jump to 165Hz is instantly noticeable—it’s not just a spec on paper. Movement feels incredibly fluid, and aiming in games like Call of Duty, Valorant, and Overwatch 2 is sharper and more responsive. I genuinely felt like I had an edge in gunfights because of the faster refresh and the 1ms response time. It’s hard to go back once you’ve experienced this level of smoothness.
What really stood out for me is how much more immersive fast-paced games feel. The monitor keeps up even during intense firefights or high-speed driving in Forza Horizon. There’s no ghosting or screen tearing thanks to AMD FreeSync, which I have enabled with my GPU. I was skeptical at first because it’s not an expensive monitor, but it holds its own in performance.
The 1080p resolution is perfect for a 24-inch screen. It looks crisp without putting too much strain on your GPU, which is great for hitting high frame rates. I’ve also used it for Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077, and while it’s not HDR, the VA panel delivers deep blacks and decent contrast—definitely good enough for dark fantasy environments or neon-lit cityscapes.
Physically, the monitor has a clean, gamer-friendly design without going over the top. The stand is surprisingly versatile—height adjustable, swivels.
