Poor performance

I bought 4 mxt275 to use around our 80 acre ranch. The antennas supplied with the radio are low quality and hard to communicate a couple miles away. They should include a better antenna for the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I waited a year to buy this since it has handheld controls unlike the MXT115, and received an early pre-sale radio. I am currently testing it with amazing success with the small mag-mounted antenna provided in the box, but have not yet installed it permanently in my Tacoma via NMO mount and better antenna because Midland's website wouldn't allow additional purchases during a pre-sale.

I have been waiting for this radio for quite awhile and it's finally here. Got it on the pre-order and its the perfect size for my Tacoma. Doesnt take up dash space and fits in all sorts of places without taking up space. Great features and perfect size.

Midland have made the process of choosing a radio system so simple with the Micromobile. This MXT275 will eventually replace the Uniden CB I currently have in my Land Cruiser - I am hanging on to both until all my trail buddies have switched. The bundled mag-mount antenna and power cord are reasonably good quality. The radio interface itself is well-designed and intuitive. I will update the review once I've had a chance to actually use it in the field.
