What a great upgrade to my Cobar 75WXST CB Radio

I've been watching and waiting for this particular radio and setup to come out. I liked the setup of my old Cobra CB with all the controls on the mic. This fits the bill 100% and the clarity, distance and reliability of GMRS/FRS makes this such a no-brainer. I'm getting all my offroad/camping buddies to get this unit.

I love my Taco but is doesn't have very much dash space. Ever since I saw that Midland was coming out with the MXT275 last year I had been holding out until it was available. I'm glad I did because it is AWESOME! I hid the head unit by mounting it under the lid of my middle console. The mic fits perfectly in my hand and just feels RIGHT! I upgraded to the MXTA11 6db antenna and am getting 30+ miles with it! Rock on!!!

Perfect for cars w/ little dash space

My Subaru Forester lacks a good mounting option on the dashboard to instal a MXT105 or 115... With this MXT275 I can keep the whole base and power cord neatly hidden in my armrest console, and when not in use, I can easily keep the microphone in there too. The controls are easy to use and very intuitive. I’ve never been able to convince my wife to get a HAM license, but this radio is so easy to use, she wants one now for emergencies.

Great Mobile Radio

Best feature: All settings on headset, now I can hide the radio box. There is not FRS channels (8-14), understandable new FCC regulations. Wish to have channels and radio frequencies (RF) on display, have to look manual/documentation when setting specific RF on repeater channels. Tested it handheld to mobile in ABQ flat terrain, works great, overall the radio is loud and has clear reception.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for Off Roading

Handset feels super solid, a little heavy, but overall a solid handset. I used this radio on a trail run in the Colorado mountains, it performed very well. The range was really good when talking to other Midland handhelds.
