Impressive so I purchased another along with an MXT115 and MXT400. Use MXT400 as a base station. Use equipment on three vehicles instead of CB. Better range and quality of voice. Very easy to use and operate. GMRS is the way to go.

I bought this radio as an upgrade for my communication while camping and trail riding. I installed this in my 4Runner in just a short period of time and it was super easy to do. I think the hardest part was just deciding where I want everything placed; antenna, mic/holder and the radio. As far as clear audio, this thing comes in crystal clear. I was so happy with how clear the communications were coming in. Thanks Midland.

Purchased, installed, communicated on the weekly GMRS net. Coupled with the MXTA26 6db antenna, am able to hit the GMRS repeaters from 30+miles no problem. Wish it had the ability for split tones or even programming within the GMRS frequency range to set up multiple repeaters. Will keep it in my truck for now, might go with a Kenwood down the road. I bought this radio for install in a particular vehicle whereas being able to look at display for channel changes/volume adjustments while in motion would have been a concern. Great radio, receives/transmits well with the commercial grade antenna I am using. Audio output using either speaker is great and with both speakers on is even better!! and when I attached an external speaker to it I forgot to turn the radio down and when radio traffic came over I almost jumped out of my seat!!! I would definitely recommend this radio to anyone looking for this style of radio. Midland you did good with this radio. BTW I also have an MXT115 that I love also. Would love to try an MXT400!!

This thing is great for overland needs. It's perfect for the people who don't want the BS of CB and who don't want to work to get HAM. I upgraded to the stubby antenna and it works phenomenally!

Ok, I am an old guy with bad eyes. What I like is that I can hold the mic at the right distance for my eyes to adjust and I can see and modify the functions of the radio easily. Also, the small size allowed me to use an existing dashboard hole for easy mounting. My only complaint is the adhesive to the mic holder is inadequate to hold the heavy mic to the dashboard. I still have to problem solve how to Mount the mic holder.

This is an excellent upgrade from my cobra CB radio. Installed in my 2010 Jeep JK Rubicon. Installed in the little storage space plate right below the locker buttons. And Midland customer service was over the top and helping me with any questions I had. Chose 6db antenna too. Thanks Midland!
