I purchased the MXT275 a few weeks ago and it's been a breeze. Install was very straightforward and easy, I love being able to tuck the main unit down below my dash out of sight with no worries. I keep it close enough that I can reach down and plug in my mic when I am using the handset, but you would never even know it was there when it isn't in use. The biggest improvement for me is not constantly having to worry about keeping my handheld unit charged. The extra range is always welcome as well. The included magnetic antenna sits on my hood and I can easily communicate 3-4 miles away with mild obstructions. I had the antenna on my roof at first, but I was getting interference from my roof rack and had to move it. I would still love to try the Ghost antenna for a little extra power, but this setup will work great for now!

I bought 3 of these for our harvest season. Never had 2 way type radios before. We are in general rolling country and could get around 5 miles or so. This is better than my expectations. They work and sound good. I like the speaker on the hand set. We were short shipped 2 radios. It took a few days before I could actually talk to a person to resolve that. When I did, they shipped them immediately.
