This is a great radio for inside your vehicle. I have mine mounted in my jeep. One of the things I really like about it are the controls built into the mic. This makes operating easy. Great being able to see or change channels without looking at base unit.

I bought this radio as an upgrade for my communication while camping and trail riding. I installed this in my 4Runner in just a short period of time and it was super easy to do. I think the hardest part was just deciding where I want everything placed; antenna, mic/holder and the radio. As far as clear audio, this thing comes in crystal clear. I was so happy with how clear the communications were coming in. Thanks Midland.

A friend of mine and I purchased the 275 model and my first thought was that this radio is really small. Install was easy and range was awesome. Easy 3-4 miles driving in the city, with the supplied antenna. Great radio overall.

I found the size to be a huge plus for limited installation space as is the case in many vehicles. The operation is very straight forward and it's easy to navigate through the menus. I strongly suggest reading the manual especially the section pertaining the menu layout. I recommend this even for experienced GMRS users who are not familiar with the Micro Mobile line. The only draw back I found pertains to repeater users. The same Privacy Code must be used for both transmit and receive. This is a disadvantage for repeater users who operate through systems with different codes for transmit and receive. I am one of those. A work around would be an open or no Privacy Code on Receive but the radio does not allow this as well. Because of my operating environment, I came close to not buying the radio. With that said, if the above is not something that affects your operation, by all means, buy the radio.

I purchased this radio as it was a nice slim design for my single cab Toyota Tacoma...another selling point was that everything can be controlled with the Mic so the box can be mounted out of the way...I hope to add another one on my Polaris Ranger this summer
