I bought this because I needed a unit, that was compact enough, to work within the perimeters that I have. This unit is perfect. If you use the supplied Power port plug, and the included antenna, you can be up and running in 10 minutes easily. It took me only a few more minutes to program my Repeater channels and tones in. Also, Incredible volume.

I purchased two of the MXT275 MicroMobile® radios, one of me and the others, as a gift for my brother-in-law. We use them camping, and the install in our F-250's was a snap. Highly Recommended!

The radio came with everything I needed. I did upgrade to a different antenna and installed in my 18 Jeep JLU. I like the fact that I can put the main unit behind the glove box and just have the mic to deal with . I had to get the mic extension because it gave me the extra length needed. Call quality and reception were great, hitting my home repeater from approximately 14 miles away!!!

I installed my radio in about an hour. I fired it up and everything works great. I didn't get an upgraded antenna or anything, just the kit antenna. It still gets out over a few miles. I'm really impressed with everything about it. I like that all of the controls are on the handheld part. The speaker clarity is great. It just works the way you think it should.
