I recently received my MXT275 and Ghost antenna from Midland. I initially noticed the quality of the radio, mic, antenna and associated hardware was excellent. The mic has some weight to it (clearly and indication of quality lol), and everything was packaged well. After running the coax, mounting the flush mount and wiring up the radio, I turned it on and instantly picked up local NOAA weather radio. I still have yet to get out with the local 4x4 group to test the limitations but I’m sure it will better than expected. Thanks Midland!

Well-made and works well. I like the controls on the mic, but something that brings is that in order to affect the functions, there's a series of buttons to push which may not seem intuitive. (specifically selecting the CTSS) That's not a knock, it's just a reality of going with the option of having the buttons limited to the form factor.
But I really like it. Feels sturdy and doesn't take much room.
Bonus about this wattage is that you can use the cigarette lighter plug if you don't want to wire it to the fuse block or battery.

Bought these a couple weeks ago for the combine, grain cart and semis to try this fall. Very impressed in how good they work that we will be ordering more of them for the other tractors. We did add the external speaker also and it gives a clear crisp sound.

I specifically picked the MXT275 because of its small portable size. I don’t have a lot of room for mounting options in my truck and I wanted to take advantage of hiding the base so I wouldn’t have to remove the radio all the time.
My friend has the MXT400 and he didn’t think 15 watts with a tiny antenna would “be enough.” I’m happy to report that we were able to max out our range at about 20 miles with spotty reception in the city! Very impressive.
I love having all of the controls on the handheld mic. It’s easy to change the channel or volume while driving and not distracting at all.
Midland, if you are reading this. Is there any way you can offer the cigarette power adapter and factory magnetic antenna? I hardwired my setup so it’s fairly permanent, but I would like the option to use my radio in another car if I’m not driving my truck. Thanks!

I paired this radio with a 6db antenna and installed on my UTV to utilize the GMRS of my Garmin Radios when hunting. Essentially I now have 30 watt GMRS and am very happy with the simplicity of this unit for anyone to use without complicated settings.

Ok, I am an old guy with bad eyes. What I like is that I can hold the mic at the right distance for my eyes to adjust and I can see and modify the functions of the radio easily. Also, the small size allowed me to use an existing dashboard hole for easy mounting. My only complaint is the adhesive to the mic holder is inadequate to hold the heavy mic to the dashboard. I still have to problem solve how to Mount the mic holder.
