So much better than a CB. Easy install, no tuning required. No interference from using cigarette lighter for power. Compatible with our walkies, so no need for everyone to have one in the crew.

I bought this a few weeks ago along with a mobile unit for my truck. My family and I often find ourselves outdoors where cell service is non existent. I wanted something more powerful than a basic walkie. I got my GMRS license and started looking at radios. Quickly landed on Midland products. This radio feels solid and works well. The range has been surprising. Sound quality is great! Midland support is excellent and the manuals are easy to understand. I have a radio from another brand and the manual is pretty much useless.

I picked this model because of the speaker in the mic. I have trouble hearing transmissions. I can hold the speaker In the mic up to my ear it helps a lot. So far I am pleased with the range although I haven’t had a chance to test it long range yet. I am able to hit our local repeater

This is an excellent upgrade from my cobra CB radio. Installed in my 2010 Jeep JK Rubicon. Installed in the little storage space plate right below the locker buttons. And Midland customer service was over the top and helping me with any questions I had. Chose 6db antenna too. Thanks Midland!

A group of friends bought this radio for our side by sides. While I have not actually used mine it seems to be good quality and very compact. The others have used theirs and like it. Looking forward to this summer and getting much use out of the radio. I will be purchasing an additional antenna so I can use the radio in my truck and in the side by side.

This is a perfect setup for my Jeep. Main box is hidden away and a quick disconnect of the hand mic and it can be securely locked away with no one the wiser that I have a radio installed.... especially when it’s topless and doorless season!! Perfect!

For anyone considering a Midland radio, take your time and look for articles showing how people have installed their GMRS radios. These articles are hidden and in my opinion should be linked to the respective radios for
