I bought the MXT275 after using my Midland Hat's at a Jeep Jamboree. Very happy with the audio quality and ease of install of the Midland GMRS. The MXT275 mic has a very heavy duty cord. Options for speaker on mic, on unit or both. Unit runs with very low heat dissipation so I think it will work inside the center console of my Grand Cherokee. Planning to add the MXTA25 Ghost Antenna next.

I coupled this with the 6db gain antenna. Amazing results. Love the set up and the performance of the handheld mic as well. The ONLY thing I didn't like was not being able to adjust the screen brightness. At nights it can be a little bright. Still 5 stars!

I bought this a month ago and it worked fine but a short developed in the wiring and it's going back to Midland on a warranty claim. Other than this one issue, it's a great radio.

This mobile GMRS radio was the easiest to install compared to my other mobile comms since it already has comes with a 12v power plug I decided to just place it between my drivers seat and the center console so if I needed I can take it out easily without any mounting. I already had a existing GMRS mobile antenna so I did not use the small mag mount antenna w/ a nice amount of cable that came with unit. In less then 15 minutes including routing my antenna cable to the radio, it was up and running and so easy to program compared to my ham mobile. Overall I am very happy with the radio and how easy it was to setup.
